Hallo
I've just found this thread! I have a cross stitch of fairies in the forest on the go at the moment - was supposed to be finished for a friend's 16th, she's 18 now! I will finish it eventually
nmm, that looks like it will be lovely when its finished0 -
Hi nmm yes its the dimensions one. I'm doing it on a large frame-from a standing one and its giving me shoulder ache doing it so I think I may take it off the frame. I never used to use a frame and found stitching much easier.July grocery- 24.40/220. NSD-1/3.

Here is my Santa, and the magazine picture of the complete portrait. As you can see I've got a lot to do but this was only started in late November so I'm pretty pleased with progress so far and aim to have him complete and on the wall for next Christmas!
I love this design, and there is so much detail in that close up :T
It's the sort of picture my mum would like...*hmmm...* I shall have to think about that one.
Is that from either No1 Cross stitcher or world of cross stitching? My subscription mags are still in their packages (no time to read yet!!) so I might have the chart if it's one of those mags.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Thanks guys, glad you like the lions too
I must admit though i'm doing the easy bit atm, i've still got all the grass to do which uses lots of the same colours as the lions
ellip, The santa one will look great this christmas, we'll make sure you complete it.
Curly, i use a hoop as you can tell from the photo's, its not too bad except for all the excess fabric which gets folded and clipped, hence all the creases :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Louise - the Santa is from Cross Stitch Collection but it's probably stil available as a back issue. It was issue 177, Christmas 2009.0

I decided to restart the alsation project. But instead of stitching the whole piece which I wasn't happy with, I'm only stitching some of it.
Here is the original chart. It looks lovely, but I just found the colours all intermingled and working closely I couldn't see the details.
And this the part I have decided to stitch.

gargoyle, that is a lovely kit but i can tell it would be a nightmare especially on the black aida. The single one will look just as good, keep us posted on your progress.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0
