That alphabet is gorgeous Sweetcarer. You have done a fab job of it. Am still slacking on the sheep piccy but going to try to get to it later. Seem to have wasted an awful lot of time today just mesmerised by the snow. I'm just a big kid at heart.

Hope everyone else is getting lots done to make up for my laziness.

Chickywiggle - I think that depends on how much work there is to do on your Mum's pieces. If you're worried that you won't get hers done on time just go full steam on them. If you think you've got the time to keep going a little on your Kittens then they are less likely to become an abandoned UFO if you keep doing a little.

still not sure what I'm doing..... need some inspiration... was thinking of an 'object' with stitching on but have never done any 'real' sowing so if anyone has any nice cheap and easy ideas????? I was tempted by a lovely sheep clock that's on e-bay but it's got no chance of being done in 6 months let alone one!!!

hope everyone is enjoying the snow, or using it as an excuse to stay in and stitch
    happy stitching

    Hi everyone!
Hope all the UFO's are coming along well. I've been stuck inside because I've put my back out again-2nd time within the week!-so thought I'd make the most of it and do some stitching.
I've dug out the Spool tree that I started before christmas and in the last 3 days I've made good progress. Only the buttons to add on now, then it's finished! :j

chickywiggle-how about stitching something onto a toy? Like this...

Or make something into a little pillow? You can buy ready made tuck pillows which need no sewing at all. I love them! I can cross stitch, but 'normal' sewing......no chance!

Maria-6 months??? That went fast! Has he been out in the snow yet? :snow_laug

sweetcarer-It's looking wonderful! Keep it up! :T

Will post another pic when I'm all finished. Now my Christmas decorations are taken down, the house looks so dull. Need some new stitching up on the walls to brighten it up.

Thank you! I probably wouldn't have bought the chart if I hadn't seen the design stitched up when I went to the Nimble Thimble. It looks SO much nicer in real life than on the chart cover.
Have sent you a PM about the tuck pillows. :)

    thanks for the PM.

Have decided to buy bulk keyrings/ fridge magnets/ coasters and 1 other (paperweight??) and stitch a design into them - not all the same but similar e.g all flowers. can do this for other people to then cheaply as already done initial purchase. :money:

Wow Maria, I'm stunned that Tyler is 6 months already, and saying mum - I'm so impressed. Time has moved to warp speed this year. Kezia is 3 months now so interested in everything going on but can't do anything about it, which is probably why my stitching is going so slowly. I spend all my time talking and playing with her then come bed time think 'oh, I was going to stitch today'. Its become a bit of a standing joke with my mum.

I'm snowed in again, not even got my newspaper delivery this morning, so maybe I'll get some done today.

Hope your back soon feels better Ruth, love that spool tree, looks like you are making fantastic progress each day. And thanks for the Stitch a Teddy link, think I might line one of those up for later on when I've finished evrything else I've got to do. Do you think Sewandso know how much we recommend them on here? I think we should be on commission.
