massive hugs for you and your daughter - its sad to lose anyone but for one so young and so suddenly its just awful. I agree with the memory box idea, but it might be a nice idea before she feels ready to do this, for your daughter to write a letter to her friend telling her just how much she was loved and how much she will be missed - it sometimes helps.

They are really lovely, I'd like to make little pink glittery ones for my fairy obsessed daughter - shame I cant follow patterns :rotfl:.

I make a lot of knitted then felted handbags so my aim for this blannket is to use up all the wool that I have bought only to find its not suitable for felting. Its all stuffed in the cupboard under the fishtank and i cant fit any more in there!!

  • aw no sally, i hate it when you have stuff and then you find it doesn't work with what you wanna do... I bought a whole lot of fancy yarn and i'm kinda kicking myself because I find it so hard to knit with....it's very fine and fluffy... think I just don't really have the patience to knit with it lol... infact that reminds me... I could load that onto ebay as a wee job lot... woop that'll help towards jammy's challenge this month :)

I just signed up for that blogger thingy... I don't blog :/ don't even know much about it.. apart from looking at others sites....but thought i'd just sign up so I could add all the lovely sites the ladies (and of course if there any gents) to my blog so I could keep track of them... may possibly be brave enough to try and do some entries into it... but we'll see.. :)

Mary - I think it was yourself that posted it last year about Morsbags?? is that what they are called??? was just wondering if they are easy to make?

I found these 'cocoa packet' printables here whilst looking at the recipe card site that someone else posted earlier. They would be fab for doing 'The Perfect Man' and putting a gingerbread man in with the poem. The text can be edited on it too.

There are loads of other printable packets too! Main menu for the printable is here

loopychris - with the book for OH's benefit I'd have to put which room stuff was kept in -honest, he wouldn't have a clue. It really would be a case of

LOl!!! that's so funny.....!!! mine's a bit like that, but not as bad. He looks for things by opening a cupboard door, and if he can't see it in front of him, it's not there. Doesn't bother moving anything out of the way...

Your book's a really good idea actually, to list where everything is. Also to keep internet sites etc in as I'm sure hubby wouldn't know all the sites I'm on and who to contact if anything happened to me.

I'll add it to 'the list'....!!

Not sure if Mary mentioned them as well, but I am a Morsbag pod. (No idea why they're called pods though!). If you look on the website (www (dot) Morsbags (dot) com (I can't post links yet), you'll find all the info about them. They are easy to make yes, and quite quick. The whole ethos of making them is to give them away free for people to use instead of plastic (yukk) carrier bags. Have a look at the site and maybe make yourself one... then do come and join us!

I hope you don't mind me posting, I just am alone right now and not sure how to stop crying.

I've been off line most of today - problems with my virus protection thingy so, Liesa, I'm so sorry to be late saying how sorry I am to read about your devastating news. You really don't need to stop crying. Tears are part of nature's way of helping us to deal with sadness and to be able to shed them at times like this is a sign of strength.

Take great care of yourself and your daughter.
  • I went to a morsbags workshop in the summer with my kids - even my six yo dd was able to make one. It was very simple and they look fab. We each made two - one to keep and one to give away. I thought it was a great idea.

For xmas i was given a reuseable bag which folded into a little pocket and looked liked a strawberry. It is super cute and also very handy so I thought i might have a go at adapting hte morsbag pattern to include a little pocket/storage bag.:j
I get so excited over all these little projects - its so much fun :p:p:p
