Claire - you're taking on a lot reading through the whole thread like that. Don't think my brain would cope.................lol
Mind you............not sure if I was about in 2008 for Christmas.....................maybe better check...........(I'll never get anything done will I....................lol:rotfl:

Mary, you've been one of the biggest contributors to the 2008 thread, under Mary43. I have about ten idea for gravy tubs written down for this year ;)

My word file is overflowing with scribbled notes and stuff that I need to organise onto my Evernote (totally converted to that now, although terrified it will somehow all delete itself and all my ideas will be lost  ) Really really hoping to get onto a Christmas craft fair this year, would like to start stocking up on things and making a start now but wouldn't be very good if I couldn't get a table anywhere! Oh Lord, don't tell my OH I'm talking about Christmas already, he thought I was mad enough last year when I started planning in like August :o

Mary I'm the same in the other forums too, sometimes I've typed up big replies or new posts and then deleted them because you know for a fact you're going to get ripped to shreds and it's not worth the hassle. What a shame that people can be like that when you're only looking for advice and help!

Claire - thanks for reminding me where I was in 2008................lol The gravy tubs are a good cheap pressie and lightweight for posting...........only got one done so far and thats a mini pamper pot full of freebies..............loads of ideas for others but OH's not using the gravy quick enough................lol

Been making button necklaces..........thanks to mums button jar...........I've made four and neighbours daughter thinks they're ok so next its bracelets.......struggled with elastic cotton so think I'll be using spare swatch watch straps I found when I was rooting around upstairs (don't know why I had 4 ??)

Need some cheap ideas this year..........I've given everyone flannel reindeer and snowmen, notebooks galore and starting to get stuck.

Thank you guys, knew I'd feel better here. And I have been inspired, I am going to make some 'fish in a jar' bath gifts. When they are done I'll throw out a picture for you. Now, where did I put that Buttons Egg......

artydoll Your blanket is fab!! Love the colours.

katsu :T:T Your housewarming gift is amazing. You may have found it tricky but you have done an incredible job!!

ClaireBear I like the sound of your shabby chic picture frame wall. You'll have to post pics when you get it finished. Your Mario cake is great. Stick in with the crochet and try the knitting - once you get the hang of it it's good fun. And dont you just love evernote - I can't remember who recommended it to me but it is brilliant!!

Sams247 sending you some hugs - sounds like you need them

I've not made anymore pressies yet - I've been making cards constantly cos future MIL is going to sell them for me. Must get started on pressies though cos I've a few jumpers to knit and denim rag bags to make and I know they're gonna take me ages (and that's not including wrist warmers etc, etc, etc,)

Thanks, I'll be be picking up frames from car boot sales and charity shops etc as I see them, so might take a while. I got a gorgeous vintagey looking frame from work yesterday, it was meant to be £2.99 but the mirror inside was cracked so I asked my supervisor if I could get it reduced. I got it for £1.50 which is great because I was going to buy one full price and take the mirror out anyway! I think I'm going to buy some chunkier wool for the second big crochet attempt, the first lot I got was really thin so I couldn't see the holes properly or squeeze the crochet hook through.

Also today I received my first load of fabric samples for a Cath Kidston style patchwork blanket I'm planning on making. I think they're curtain/sofa upholstery fabric so they're quite canvassy feeling, but it will probably be backed with nice fleece or cotton. Can't wait for the others to turn up, will probably only need to buy a little bit more so very MSE :money:

Not a good day as far as craftings concerned:( Seem to have spent all morning sewing buttons onto a swatch watch strap and it looks as dull as can be............even OH made a sort of 'no comment' expression........:(
Think I could do with some more colourful buttons...........or its back to the drawing board for another think;)

Had a look in my 'pressie' book and I'm sure I've missed bits out on my 'stuff to do' page.............this rate everyong will be having gravy tubs of something or other......................lol:rotfl:

Mary, don't forget you said you had a store of frames that you thought you could do something with for presents. I bet some of your watercolours would make lovely gifts. Or you could do a scrapbook page and frame it... lots of possibilities.. ;)

qwiksave - thanks for reminding me..........easy sometimes when things go a bit pear shaped to forget the things that I know will be ok.
I'll look my frames out tomorrow...........not sure how many I've got but I've got a suspicion that a lot of folk will be getting one this year................lol:rotfl:
