    Speaking of food colourings....

I made some coloured nightlight holders yesterday using food colourings and Mod Podge:

(They are on my blog - under the journal page)

I used crackle glaze medium on the jars first but you don't need to use that. The idea and instructions for making these came from this american blog.

Some lovely ideas on this thread, I do love that soap, all looks good enough to eat, love that they are stamped too looks very professional, you will have to let us know when you are able to sell them, I will follow on your blog.

I love your tealights too Qwiksave, they would be nice outside on summer nights with citronella tealights in to keep the midges away.

I'm making jewellery and sewing bits and bobs, they are all being added to my storage box and I delve in there for birthdays and what is left will be fair game for christmas presents. I created a blog yesterday to keep track of my bits and pieces, feel free to have a look its in my links.

qwiksave - love the tea lights..........:T

Kevin - brilliant soaps..........I'll check the link out later. Never made soap before.

castri09 - I'm doing a cookery collection for my grandson -he's only 3 this year but I ran out of ideas so I got a little apron (was going to make one from a tea towel then found one in Poundstretcher), little chefs hat I got as a freebie from the freebie board a while back, some packets of 'instant' stuff.........choccy mixes and stuff like that. I want to get an instant cake mix as well.
All I need to add I think is spoon and rolling pin and plastic bowls -stuff like that. He's too young for collecting recipes and things and I'm stuck for any more ideas.

Just when I thought I'd finished my scrapbook I found there were little bits of info I hadn't added so done that today and started sorting stuff out for the next one so it's in some sort of order.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Hello

I'm a lurker, but thought I would share these with you. I bought some cheap canvases from The Works, painted one with acrylics and stuck embellishments on. The other I stitched material to (this was just a test to see if it would work). The pictures are photos which I changed to line drawings using photo editing software, and then traced onto shrinkles plastic and shrunk in the oven. They are birthday presents for friends but could easily be given as Christmas presents instead.

Ooh, sorry they're so huge. I did resize them to 'medium' on photobucket!

Thanks for showing us those smileyt, I particularly like the first one. Are there more than 2? If so some aren't showing correctly.

I also like the idea of tracing the black & white image onto shrink plastic, that is a useful tip.

I made a shrink plastic object yesterday too:

mary-op Instead of using velcro for your bracelets what about poppers - maybe some bright plastic ones (incase people are allergic to metal ones). Hope you got your printer ink sorted - the same thing happened with one of our machines in work, it was the correct cartridge but the microchip on it was faulty and it wouldn't work. We had to get a replacement. Maybe the same thing has happened with yours?

whoopi Love your graffiti work. How did you do the flower - it looks amazing :T

Sammy what about a loo roll, light bulb, and a sewing kit, maybe a small first aid kit too?

Kandi Great blog - I've just become a follower

I had some cheap blank canvas's in my box and some left over pieces of flock fablon from another project so I decided to make these for my sister for her birthday (she loves black and white things) :D
I had to use Uhu glue as the fablon would not stick and it started to bubble but when they dry (see bottom right one) the bubbles disapear :D

My OH brought me a set of craft knives (like razor blades in a handle :rotfl:) from Lidles yesterday for £4.99 and they came in handy for trimming these pic's :D

Have you tried Ebay? I got some nice little earing sets in organza bags (beads, findings etc) for 99p + small amount for postage ready for you to do yourself :).
I will try to find a link for you :D

Found this one (I have had stuff off this seller and they are great) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MEMORY-WIRE-BRACELET-KIT-BLUE-BARRELS-make-it-yourself_W0QQitemZ160419473094QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Crafts_JewelleryMaking_GL?hash=item2559bee6c6

You could get end beads if you dont want to do loops on the ends and glue them on with superglue
