Qwiksave - Your glasses case is brilliant.

MaryOp - I think it would make a brilliant MP3 player cover too

Ooops...........forgot to say what I've done today..............lol. I found some smallish pebbles and painted on them Sage Thyme Parsley and Basil as plant markers for foster daughters gardening pressie.

Mary - I bet the pebbles are gorgeous - great idea :T. I hoarded a load of pebbles at christmas to use in crafting but never got round to it, so they're just festering in a bag. May use this idea once I can face the rain and wind in the garden again! Did you paint freehand or do you have a stencil? Don't think I'd be brave enough to freehand!

Also wanted to share with this thread a notebook idea - I've blogged about it too but basically I've just covered some notebooks and made them look like a fab book I've recently read (pictured on the left), and given to friends as pressies. Here is the original book, plus my two covered notebooks.

I know notebooks have been discussed here before and the options are endless of what you can do with them, but couldn't resist posting my pic! Hope you're all getting on well with your crafting

beach-hut - I painted free hand with a very fine paintbrush -letters were very very plain.......nothing fancy. If you don't feel you can paint the words on writing on with a pen of some sort should work as well........cover with varnish afterwoods.

Love the notebooks..:T..........think I gave everyone notebooks (plural) last year........journals, shopping lists, any sort of notebook............I love them.
My friend bought me a Memory book which is lovely and really does make you think.............might give her one back this year but I'll do it myself rather than buy one

I have been poorly so not been on here for a day or two (or three) and it's so nice to be out of the bathroom......... but enough of that! My friend started a job in London, and has to travel in by train, so I made her a box of 101 train journeys. I found interesting facts, photo's, postcards, snippets from magazines, quizzes, challenges and all sorts and filled 101 envelopes with them. Put these in a box, tied with ribbon and voila - a present for a new job. I dont know if it comes under' craft' but it was so much fun to research and make. Must get back to quilt.........

Well done on the scarf chillin_nutter! Great start to your blog too - I am your first follower! ;)

My 10 year old son has come back from school having joined the lunchtime knitting club! He doesn't know how to knit yet and nor do I! Aaah! Hope I'm not supposed to help him! Or maybe I should look at this differently, its an opportunity for us both to learn! :D

Like the idea of the train journey box sams247, I consider it to be a 'craft!'. Blogs aren't that daunting either, dip your toe in!

Thanks jamtart for featuring my little project today - my doorstops are now demanding clean floors to sit on and clean glass doors to hold open, as I think the fame of appearing on your site has gone to their heads.... :rotfl:Next they'll need an entourage everywhere they go!

                    chillin-nutta - I too have become a [STRIKE]stalker[/STRIKE] follower on your blog - love your scarf x

If he's a teenager what about a black one with metal beads if he's into grunge / rock music or dayglow if he's into dance music?

In-the-beach-hut your notebooks are identical to the original :T . Although at the rate we're all going we're gonna need rolls of wallpaper!

Chillin - you have another stalker. Love your teeny weeny sock.
