susan - thanks -specs case would be a good idea but I haven't got a nice one, just the usual opticians ones:(
beach hut - that cover looks nice and could be adapted...........having spent all morning making one and now I'm not happy with it:mad: Shame as it was lovely material that I'd got loads of but it does fray a bit too much. All my felt is a bit too christmassy (red/green/white). Might have another go tomorrow.
I bet it's not as bad as you think mary - I was making a bag yesterday and accidentally sewed the opening closedBet yours isn't as bad as that?!
Can you adapt the case you've made to be a little wheatie lavender bag, as a handwarmer, so you don't waste your lovely material? Instructions here for a nice one or here? Don't lose heart! Put the kettle on and come back to it later :coffee: My bag with no opening is still sitting on the dining table until I can bring myself to return to it with the Quick Unpick....0 -
Found these today while bloghopping:

Oh thanks for the suggestions for my craft party - keep them coming I've got another month to finalise exactly what we'll be doing - but painting pottery is now firmly on the list0

Phew, that's me finally caught up with this thread. Some lovely things, and I'm really interested in knitting up those wrist warmers. I've missed catching up with everyone - I've only just manage to get internet in my new lovely house woopie. I can't believe it's been over a month since I last 'saw' you all.
Thinking of getting my blog off the ground I posted a few things on there but no pics or projects yet, just little post it's i guess lol.
Hope you are all well and congratulations to sammy - everyone I know is pregnant :O I want to be pregnant lol! you take care hon!

Hello!
I'm not sure if you want to make crafts to keep but a nice edible craft might be to decorate pre-baked cupcakes? You could just buy toppings like edible glitter and sprinkles and have a go at perfecting the art of the cute swirls of icing or buttercream with piping bags?
I'm not sure if that's the sort of 'craft' you wanted but thought I'd suggest it

beach-hut - couldn't help laughing about your bag:rotfl:
OH says my phone cover is alright.................but what does he know.................lol:rotfl:Though the more that I look at it .............well it'll be ok I think.
At last I have ink in the printer so now I can print out instructions for button necklaces and maybe, just maybe I'll get it right this time................or the time afterI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
