Well done on the scarf chillin_nutter! Great start to your blog too - I am your first follower!
My 10 year old son has come back from school having joined the lunchtime knitting club! He doesn't know how to knit yet and nor do I! Aaah! Hope I'm not supposed to help him! Or maybe I should look at this differently, its an opportunity for us both to learn!
Like the idea of the train journey box sams247, I consider it to be a 'craft!'. Blogs aren't that daunting either, dip your toe in!
How fantastic that the school run a knitting club. I'm teaching DS aged 8 to knit atm (it's quiet a feat for me as I'm left handed, but learnt right handed, but he wants to knit LH even thought he's RH), but we're not allowed to tell anyone as he thinks the other kids will tease him!
If you need any help or support there is quite likely to be a knitting circle in your area, who will offer a free drop in session.0 -

Hi All
Am hoping I'll get round to some crafting today or at least picking up a few bits and pieces.
Although seem to have a busy day - Am kicking myself somewhat as my son has recently discovered WWE wrestling and is mad on it and in wilkinsons the other day they had the ring for the wrestlers marked up as £17 and then in the sale with 75% off so it would have cost me about £5. Hoping I'll see one today and make an excuse that I need a birthday present for my cousin and stash it away for May (his birthday). Although will have to be sly because I have to take him with me today as he has his first opticians appointment at 1.40pm - Doh! unless I can convince his father to get it if he comes in to get paint stripper etc and get him to pick it up and hide it in the car boot.
Apart from that am loving all the crafts that are going on. Think I need to get my backside in gear with lists of what I'm going to give people as I don't want to start crafting without a definite gift list in my head but march is fast approaching and its full of birthdays for me so need to get a move on!!Time to find me again0 -
