I wish I'd made one for mine as it's scratched to pieces from bowling around my bag with all my other rubbish ! It's been on my list for about two months but my bag phase continues so the phone case will have to wait until I've moved on from making bags!

Morning crafters! This thread's a little quiet these days - I found it on the second page of Spec Occs! :eek:

Just to say, Mary, I made this yesterday that you could make as a mobile phone holder:



Very simple to make, just two cut pieces of crafty foam, holes punched all round (did you get that hole punch?) and add some beads on some thread. A total doddle (it has to be, I can't sew!)

I've modified the glasses case a little, it needed modernising!

I've added some handrawn swirls to it with a white gel pen.

Qwiksave it's fab! Very funky - much better than my plain boring old green snappy case. off to the shops to get some craft foam.... x

qwiksave - love it :T How did you do the stitching round the edge ? Is it blanket stitch with a bead threaded on ?
Love the 'things to do' book.............could do with one of those myself instead of ring backed folder and the little notebook.

Ooops...........forgot to say what I've done today..............lol
I found some smallish pebbles and painted on them Sage Thyme Parsley and Basil as plant markers for foster daughters gardening pressie.
Thats all I've done really apart from make card for little grandson...........forgot I hadn't done one -megga senior moment !!

Um, yes, Mary, the stitch is a blanket stitch.... I think! Not being a sewer I can't be sure but from what sewing I've seen on these forums I reckon it is! All I know is I went in and out the holes adding a bead. :rotfl:

qwiksave - blanket stitch sounds about right...........might have to dismantle some of my beads I never wear anymore and have a go at that. If I don't use it for my phone I can do with one for my prescription sunglasses.........prettier than the clunky one I got them in.............lol:rotfl:

Edit: Sons girlfriend wears glasses for reading...........would make brilliant extra pressie for her as well.
