All your items look so professional, mine always look hand made, lol.

He is gorgeous - I always think the same about my stuff I think we are our own worst critics. Your Grand Daughter is going to have such a gorgeous suprprise Christmas Day, I always used to love unwrapping my Mums knitted creations at Christmas.
Mary - I bet the pebbles are gorgeous - great idea :T. I hoarded a load of pebbles at christmas to use in crafting but never got round to it, so they're just festering in a bag. May use this idea once I can face the rain and wind in the garden again! Did you paint freehand or do you have a stencil? Don't think I'd be brave enough to freehand!

Also wanted to share with this thread a notebook idea - I've blogged about it too but basically I've just covered some notebooks and made them look like a fab book I've recently read (pictured on the left), and given to friends as pressies. Here is the original book, plus my two covered notebooks.

I know notebooks have been discussed here before and the options are endless of what you can do with them, but couldn't resist posting my pic! Hope you're all getting on well with your crafting

What a brilliant idea - they look so effective, I thought you had done all 3!
:staradminHuuuuuuge thank you hugs to all posters:staradmin
  • Princess Tiger - I've got the decorate the cupcakes on my list already as I thought that may be relatively simple, although I'm glad that you suggested it as that means it must be a good idea :j

He is lovely - my two-year-old is leaning over my shoulder as I type shouting "teddy" - he likes him! Bet your grandaughter will love it too :T I agree with Whoopidoo - we are always more critical of our own stuff but you shouldn't be - your ted is fab.

Came across this fab site last night to create beautiful word clouds:

    wordcloud.jpg

You just type in a load of words (repeating those that you want to appear large), and then it creates a pretty picture like the one above. Might make a nice Christmas pressie for someone (if you did Xmas words in reds and greens) or just a personalised one with adjectives describing your mum/sister or other family member? You could print it out on nice paper and frame it to make a nice picture.

Check out the gallery for some more ideas.

PS I have already wasted a whole evening on this site so beware - enter at your peril!

I'm such a blog virgin :o I'd never heard of wordle but having just peaked on a couple of blogs it's obviously very well used by lots of people! I love what you've done with it whoopidoo - great idea to keep a record of LO's words. My 2-year-old can't say Grandpa but says "bummer" instead - very funny :rotfl:

Hope you're feeling a bit better Mary x

Hello! I call them 'paper ribblers'.

Kelda_Shelton mentioned them back on page 66, post number #1312 and posted some links (sorry, I can't post links yet).

You'll definitely be able to get one from Ebay, so give there a try.
Hopefully, it'll be easier to find them online know that you can put a name to the product :)
    Hope that helps.

beach hut - Feeling better today (I think) least no dizzy spells but woke up with stinking headache that won't go no matter what I do or don't do.
Didn't get around to doing much apart from covering cappacino box, punching holes and threading ribbon through the top.........just right size for egg box with bath bombs for foster daughter for easter. Oh and wrapped her pebble plant markers in a little bit of cellophane with ribbon round the top.
Fiddled with sons birthday card.........didn't seem quite right but I'm happy with it now.;)

whoopi - sorry -forgot to say yesterday...........fab scrapbook page :T
