Artydoll That is an absolutely gorgeous bear!!!!

Just to let you all know I have added a French Knitting tutorial to my blog (www.sewnupstuckdown.blogspot.com) and also an MS way to make a French Knitting spool. I have made a lovely coaster today but you can also make clothing, accessories and toys with them.

Has anyone made anything with French Knitting before? I think its a wonderful activity for children! I think I will make a French Knitting spool for some children I know for christmas (perhaps not with a toilet roll and pencil crayons as I have used this time!)

I love French knitting when I was a little girl. Think I might have to get back into doing it because its surprising what you can do with it and think it might be a bit more 'ME' friendly being that I have little miss on the way, a 5 year old and a small dog! normal knitting wouldn't stand a chance i don't think!

On a plus side I did manage to pick up the wrestling ring for my little boy the other day - was meant to be £17 and cost me the grand total of £4.70. BARGAIN! although I did tell a wee white lie and say it was for my cousins birthday as my little man was with me and so now its safely stashed away and going to go towards his birthday presents.

Haven't done much more crafting but really need to get a think on. I have about 15 birthdays this month to sort out and some to gift for so its going to cost me a small fortune i think so need to make a list and get thinking so ill be re reading the thread later for some inspiration. Although I am thinking that 1 of them is a keen gardener so might do the herb stones for her. x

    Hi

This is a long shot i know, but does anyone know where i can get free knitting machine patterns online? I don't really want to spend money pying for them yet (my ds aged 12 has got my knitting machine out and is having a go)

Last night he made a scarf for his mate, and he is in the process of knitting pink and white squares to make a blanket for the new baby in the street (mum has the job of sewing them up)

So as he is doing so well i thought i would maybe try to find a baby cardi pattern (start small) for him to try

My weekend was taken up with gathering jars and bits to make some Pot o Golds for a family do we're having later in the month. If I actually stop eating the golden coins long enough to make these I'll picture and post them. I am now looking for something nice to finish the lid off with as it looks a bit scrappy following it's bathe in the dishwasher (it started life as a peanut butter jar). My friend is making a scarf for the do out of kimono silk, so when she gets that done I'll picture and post it too, and if it looks amazing I'll pretend I did it!
