qwiksave Wow thanks for the link for the tissue paper flower tutorial (saved to favourites). They're fantastic. Have you made any?
No updates from me I'm afraid due to technical difficulties. It has taken me from Friday night to get my laptop to speak to me. I don't know why it was in the huff but we've made up now thank goodness.0 -
I found something else!:j I'm on a roll..
These would make nice christmas presents - maybe with some homemade christmas goodies on them and sealed with cellophane?
A plate stand made yourself  with a painted brass candlestick and plate! :T QUOTE]
qwiksave what a brilliant find. Will definately be having a go at this at some stage.

No, I haven't made any flowers PepPop. I spend too much time looking at other people's crafts to do any myself! (well, apart from the one a day I do on my blog). I don't get to do girlie things much anyway, with a household full of boys!I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
Quicksave - thanks for the link - those flowers are fab and I have a plan for them!!
Has anyone actually made anything off of their list of things to do - or are you all like me just adding to the list????:o0 -

I VERY NEARLY bought a candlestick today from an antiquey type shop, it was only £4, but the top didn't seem completely flat - can't have my plate skewiff and the cakes rolling off! :rotfl:
(Bought the Araldite glue though)

I DID get a candlestick AND a plate today! Word of advice, get a SHORT candlestick not a tall one!
(Mine's a titchy bit big) I also got a GLASS candlestick not a brass one, it will save painting! :rotfl: I got the candlestick for £3 and the plate (Royal Doulton no less!) for £1.50 from a charity shop. Now all I've got to do is stick them together - and make some cupcakes to put on it before I show it to the world! (well, here)
They also had wooden candlesticks in the charity shop, these would probably be easier to paint too.I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
No great crafting today..........went to doctors to get my ears checked..........got some tablets and told to use olive oil in them for 2 weeks then get them syringed.
After that I ventured into town........first time for ages. Not a great deal on offer at charity shops though I did get 5 voile (think thats the material) gift bags, 2 gold, 3 red, for 99p...........be handy for bags of gold at christmas and the red ones will be festive enough for anything. Also got a mug with music on it (do for eldest son) -49p and a metal book mark with beads on,
Box I got my tablets is just the right size to put the book mark in if I cover it with pretty paper.
Then I got some card from the craft shop and covered index box for foster daughters recipes I'm collecting bit by bit for christmas.
So, not totally wasted day;)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
