  • I am so excited!!! Thank you guys! I have just started making a pocket tissue holder, and so far it is going really well. This is an experimental sewing practice project just for me - I have big ambitions for my niece's first birthday but have hardly done any sewing so needed a trial first!

It is going really well so far and actually looks how it's meant to look:j

I never would have been trying half of this stuff if it wasn't for this thread so thank you - you seem to have released my creativity. I have a huge stack of crafts planned for birthdays/christmas and actually think I might be able to do them!

http://handmadeheartfelted.blogspot.com/2010/02/designer-look-shoes.html these shoes look amazing! They look easy to make too, can someone make them for ME for christmas please?

PePop - I just blog too much :/ in general!!

I have almost got most of the links to tutorials that have been put on this thread on my blog all categorised in a somewhat coherent manner! Hope this is helpful :)

Speaking of Christmas :D, has anyone started making their Christmas Cards yet?

I have, I made this one last night!:

I've put it on my blog. I was wondering if other people might like to do some too, maybe a few each month, then you won't be panicking in December. Show us them here and on your blogs. - just don't let your friends and relatives see them!

qwiksave - I've started making mine.......did them when we took decorations down...........salvaged what I could from last years so I re-use bits and made a good start.........nothing really special though -not like yours.
I'll do 'special' ones later on in the year

Got water colours out today to do couple more sea views for my son to put inside some coasters.
    Other than that.........done nothing..............oh lazy bum me:rotfl:
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

hubby and I have a small business ( very very small lol ) making handmade cards , as you can imagine Christmas is a manic time for us so this year I've been really strict and we're making one card each a week until November and that will give us enough for our own personal use for friends, work colleagues etc , we also aim to make our family ones early as well ( that just hasn't happened lol but I know what I want to do so thats a start ) will post a photo of our design later ( we're just making the same one for everyone , cheating I know !! )

qwiksave You are sooo organised. Have you checked out this blog. If you scroll down and check the older posts at the bottom she's got loads of Christmas freebies for cards etc. I've used her images before (my mum's birthday card) and they're great.

Off to catch up on about a months worth of posts now (then blog hopping to do) - I'll get around to making something eventually :D

  • I'm finally on a roll with my crafting. I've actually made a pressie for my SIL (a wire and bead bracelet), not sure wether to put it by for Christmas or give it to her for her birthday though. I'm halfway through another bracelet for my mum and I'm making a couple of cards.

I'm trying to avoid looking too closely at this thread as everytime I pop on there are loads of lovely makes which keep being added to my list of things to do!
