Qwiksave - Thanks for the linkPrincess_Tiger wrote: »Hello! I'm new round here but I've been reading this this post since it started and loving all the ideas so I thought I had better introduce myself. "Hello!" :-)
I'm keeping a note of all the lovely crafts but I think getting round to actually making the things will be another matter! I'm full of good intentions!
I did have a go at the knitted mittens / wrist warmers that were mentioned a few pages back. I've never knitted ANYTHING before and I was really please with how they turned out! (Thanks in no small part to my Mum's excellent tutoring!) I have to confess I didn't cast on or off though so I *almost* knitted them all myself! (Thank you again Mum!) I'll save learning how to cast on and off for the next pair I make! :-)
I'll keep an eye out for some suitable Christmas crafts and post here to share.
Happy crafting everyone!
xx

Hi not sure if it will help anyone but my local Sainsbury's store (Gt Yarmouth) had some gorgeous soft touch plain scarves reduced to just £1.20 and matching gloves for £1 a pair.
I got some and am intending to add homemade decorations such as felt flowers, buttons etc to them and give them away as Christmas presents to all the ladies and teenagers in our family.
Hopefully several other branches may also have them available?Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -

:TFirst of all I LOVE EVERYTHING you all make & do on here.
I have been lurking around here for the last month & have finally put up the courage to sign up & say 'Hi'
I have got so many ideas from you all, my fav's list is bursting, I just need to find the time to try it all. I have 2 gorgeous children, Alex will be 6 this year & Emily will be 3 this year so I' hoping to have a little more time soon to do what I love & make things
I have always had a passion for crafting, a couple of years ago I did start making scarves & cards to sell & for gifts but then Emily arrived its all been put a side!
Since I came across this great thread & others I have made some sock animals & have just recieved some lovely fat 1/4's from Fabric Rehab to make some cushions for my chairs in the kitchen.
My next step is to set up a Blog to share what I have made, well maybe leave that for when the kids are in bed...Emily wants me, must go, we're potty training :T:wave:Hi, I have a passion for crafting.......I'm always up to something :rotfl::rotfl:
:j I have found the key to weight loss.....ZUMBA :j0 -
craftingmad - love the idea of decorating gloves and scarf - did some gloves last year with felt flowers and sons girlfriend was thrilled with them.
Might do some for teenage grandaughter this year.
Today I made little felt hat for Noddy egg cup so thats out of the way for easter.........then started painting the edges of a slatted box someone gave me.........tomorrow I'll stick some paper on the rest of it and it'll be ideal to put tea lights in for sons birthday shoebox.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
