Mind you, she's got the right figure for it!She's actually made what we call a 'tailors dummy' out of duct tape! Here's the instructions in case anyone else wants a try! :rotfl:I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
I have finished making another bag out of old magazines. The instructons for the clutch bag are on jamtarts blog if you follow it. I just made this one a bit bigger and put handles on the top.0

I thought it was an actual dress till I read her blog :rotfl::rotfl:very clever what she did though... I would look too much like a silver Michellin woman, not a nice image and to much duct tape :Drufusd!!!2 wrote: »I have finished making another bag out of old magazines. I love the link to the covered notebook tutorial :A
I've just got to grips with how to use my sewing machine at the weekend, I made a morse bag!
I've been drooling over fat 1/4s fabric online, don't think i'm up to quilting so I think a covered notebook will have to go on my to do list :T
My DS (15) who has Aspergers has taken a liking to the sewing machine, he thinks it may take over from his laptop as no1 obsession
If anyone has any links to sewing stuff (easy) suitable for teenage boys I'd appreciate it :T0 -
rufus - love the bag...............oh if only I had the patience to do that -think I'd find it too fiddly for my old fingers. Such a super idea.
As for the mannequin...........I'll pass on that one I think................lol:rotfl:
Got felt now so I can start on hat for Noddy egg cup..........have packed Big Ears away in his box so he's all ready to post............he really did look more like a traffic cone every time I looked ................lol:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hello! I'm new round here but I've been reading this this post since it started and loving all the ideas so I thought I had better introduce myself. "Hello!" :-)
I'm keeping a note of all the lovely crafts but I think getting round to actually making the things will be another matter! I'm full of good intentions!
I did have a go at the knitted mittens / wrist warmers that were mentioned a few pages back. I've never knitted ANYTHING before and I was really please with how they turned out! (Thanks in no small part to my Mum's excellent tutoring!) I have to confess I didn't cast on or off though so I *almost* knitted them all myself! (Thank you again Mum!) I'll save learning how to cast on and off for the next pair I make! :-)
I'll keep an eye out for some suitable Christmas crafts and post here to share.
Happy crafting everyone!
