Anyone not going to buy anything in the sales and avoid them

I was just interested to know if anyone plans to totally avoid going to the sales and totally avoid buying anything whatsoever. I understand that some people stock up on gifts, paper etc. I find that you can always find what you want for the price you want to pay. also I dont want to bring clutter in to the house and I dont want to buy anything that I dont need and use up what I have. As I want to go in to the new year with a renewed sense of moneysaving!

I never seem to find anything good in the sales apart from cards, Xmas wrapping etc. so I won't bother with them this year - unless I see some mega bargains on this site!0

probably me! I rarely shop in sales - if it hasn't sold then nobody wants it - if nobody wants it then it probably wasn't very desirable in the first place. Also, I think some things - particularly clothing are so overpriced that even a sale can't make them good value. Having said that I did get some lovely M&S towels 50% off which were highlighted on the Grabbit forum - had been holding out for years to replace my old ones! so it does happen occasionally.Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale - Hans Christian Andersen2012 savings:remortgage £156.15pcm £5 pcm insurance reduced; 2012 Running totals: £10 goodwill requests/Grocery Coupons £12:T0

I bought some clothes online, but I had birthday money to spend and I bought some more soap and glory bits in the boots sale as I love the stuff so I will have enough to last me the year, but I do agree that the sales have been a disappointment this year, not much worth picking at and certainly not worth fighting your way to the front of the crowds at the shops for. I'm going to stick to the grabbit board in the new year and only buy things that I actually need rather than want, well I can promise to try at least:rotfl:Comping wishlist for 2017

I dont ever go out to the sales but I do shop online in the sales mainly for pj's for my kids (£5 for jim jams as opposed to £15!) and this year have bought some towels from M&S.
I also tend to buy presents for birthdays but cant think of anything worse than trailing around the sales in the hunt for a bargain

I won't be hitting the streets, did that once in 1983, never again
however I'll be keeping an eye on the online sales instead. ~*~ If you don't need it, it isn't a bargain ~*~0 -
I only buy things in the sales that I would buy anyway. I find that I can get much better quality products than I could otherwise afford.
But I am a bit addicted too.
I really struggle to pay full price for anything these days!
But only online - can't face the crowds.0 -
I'll be doing a small amount online; only for a few things I already wanted and have been "stalking", eg a coat from Topshop, a jumper from another shop. I'm not going to be looking around at random tat for the sake of getting a perceived bargain.0

Not in the high street, did it once on boxing day and never again
But i may partake in a bargain or two on here
