Spend your energy on finding more mis-prices.

they're not making it very easy by taking all the prices off the bl**dy shelves, plus a member of staff keeps following me every time i go in the store....mind you i spend 20mins just wandering all over and only come out with a loaf of bread.....
  • so how would i go about reporting this to trading standards? just ring them up and say i believe this store should be displaying relevant SELs as a lot of the meat products have different prices per kg on them?

They used to get fined £2000 per SEL that showed an overprice.

Used 2 of these vouchers at the weekend, got £1.50 knocked off my bill, then straight to CS for a R&R! Sweet...

Don't forget to open the pack carefully - the TMF boxes have got a 75p off coupon inside in a little plastic wallet and its got a long expiry date too ! So you can get Mr T to pay you for his stuff if you use the coupons in there as well.

It's actually £2000 per ITEM so a facing of three wide and a dozen deep could potentially cost them £72,000 for a successful prosecution plus of course all the prosecution costs and those of their own!

    Hi all,

Just got some lean minced beef from Mt.T. Price on items £1.12, SEL I thought said 97p 'Everyday low price'. It didn't state whether it was English beef or Irish. I picked up the obvious Irish beef priced at £1.12 and not the English. CS tried to fob me off with one item free and I asked if this was there usual policy. CS stated that this was not an overcharge, however, I did state why did you remove the SEL then? She turned around and caved in. Got full R&R.:T

    Hello canuckone-
Customer Service Bren was as blank about this on the HO telephone no. this morning as have been all others during and since my little shop on Saturday.
She undertook to set the topic as a Subject 'for the appropriate Department Manager to answer', me to check later today and/or tomorrow.
Upon my return this evening I called again. Iain cannot see any enquiry instigated, nor can he find any information via any sort of lateral thinking entry term we tried, from Recycling and variants to Twickenham.
He says that ANY store, even if trialling something, would feature the info. somewhere in the system.

Are you able to expand on how you learnt of this,please?-especially as you have been successful with it already.
I would pm you but imagine a number of msers could be interested.
    Many thanks.

I was asked to post this in the Tesco misprice forum:

Tesco has just introduced a new scheme where if you bring your own shopping bags, you receive an extra Club Card point per bag. We always bring our own bags, and since the scheme was introduced we did our shop last week, using 4 of our own bags, and got 4 extra points! Every bit helps . . .

Ask in store if you are not offered the points for using your own bags - they should honour this.

Am chuffed to bits - just got a DIY book on R&R (christmas pressie for brother sorted) and ECOver washing powder (Try me free one) also R&R'd.:j :j

Right result - do feel like a right criminal though!

So having had a full R&R on the washing powder - do I take it people are not going to send in the Try me free offer too - or am I just too naive?

I would have sent it in as well, I'm not proud.:D

But the CS wrote "Refund" next to the entry on my till receipt
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done

I did this one at Asda and I had to ask for my smiley voucher, all she gave me was a £1.00 one. ( Thinking of changing the 1 to a 7 but not sure if the cashier will call supervisor )
Anyway feel I am out of pocket as it's really expensive as far as I'm concerned. She has crossed the washing powder off the receipt and put 'R' next to it & 3.78 at the bottom of the receipt. I am thinking of writing 60p next to the 'R' as that's what I got.
Perhaps you could do the same as Ecover are not to know you got all the money back you only got the difference. After all we don't know about the R&R so we accepted the diff'.
There must be a way of changing the receipt to make it look like a normal purchase.

Got to say I have never heard of this. Even checked with a few others...through fear of over looking something important and looking a bit stupid :o ...even to the point of checking the current internal recycling newsletter. If this is being done it is certainly not happening at every store.
