I am also in Australia. I ordered from EverBrite on 11th May and a couple of hours ago just found out about EverBright being a scam. After much searching found the following number +44 203 139 9027 and spoke to a real person (Paige) but English was not her first language. She "couldn't find" my order even with the number/name/email trio. She gave me the following email address: support1@globalcustomersupport.net so have sent 3 emails with a copy of my order attached - remember this is only 2 days old now. I am cancelling my a/c as soon as my bank opens for business this morning. I have already had the "shipping cost" taken from my account!

Also, hearing about the double scam, just read about "Whiteblast". It was only after reading their fine print (very fine) that I discovered the "contact us in 14 calendar days" or we send you the full maintenance kit for $90. They have an email on their website from which I have received an automatic reply after cancelling.

Thanks for all the advice re email cancelling and sending a copy to the bank. Will do this asap tomorrow. I know I wasn't in time to stop the "shipping costs" but hopefully I can prevent the larger amounts from going out of my account. I used a debit card and have moved all my funds to another bank.

Here's hoping.

I'm not impressed that I've been scammed - first timer.

Hi,

I cancelled my transactions and my credit card with my bank and then complained to EZIDEBIT in Australia by email; they processed the transactions for Whiteblast and IBUILDWEALTH. Nice lady guessed what had happened and gave me this email address support@whiteblastsmile.com . I sent them an email, not terribly polite I admit, and they responded within 12 hours letting me know that I had been unsubscribed from their 'services'.
Good luck to everyone!

• The phone number for Everbrite in America is 1-866-556-6914. I have been calling them every week to get a full refund. I did not receive any product at all and then got a $90 charge! I'm on hold with them now, and this will be my 8th call since 4/7/10. They have lied to me and stole $90 out of my account. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau, as well.

Found this posted on another site:

"An Unfair Trade Practices investigation(Economic Crimes Division) is in progress through the office of Bill McCollum, Florida's Attorney General. Terry Crossen is the Financial Investigator, gathering affadavits in the case of XM Brands, INC and XM Labs, LLC.

I've been battling for months to get my money back from them for a bogus free trial dual offer for MY EVERBRITE SMILE and CELEBRITY WHITE TEETH. (the latter are 'no longer taking orders') The six pages of complaints on this site are only a drop in the bucket.

Contact Mr. Crossen ASAP at 561-837-5000 if you want to submit an affadavit of your complaint. Or use the online form at: http://myfloridalegal.com/Contact.nsf/Contact?OpenForm&Section=Economic_Crimes or email address of Terry.Crossen (AT) myfloridalegal.com
He is very eager to move this case along. "

Good luck everyone!"

Hi all my bank have just confirmed that they have successfully chargedback the £78.50 & 98p. Hope nothing else crops up on future statements :j:j:j
I too was conned by both Ever Brights and Clean Whites. I made contact with my Credit Card Co and disputed the transactions as soon as I received my statement - one off payments taken by both cos of 75 pounds sterling and 153 pounds - even though I'd cancelled both products as soon as they came through my door!!!
After reading your thread about asking for a chargeback I made contact again with Barclaycard. I have now responded to at least 4 letters from them about the transactions. They appear to be playing dumb almost - they keep referring to my 'regular' payments to these cos, asking me for the same info over and over again and deliberately misinterpreting the info that I've repeatedly given. The latest feedback from them was that they 'could not make a refund to me as the charge was made before the cancellation period was over'.
I'm completely confused by this - surely this supports my case that I was charged in full before my trial period ended? Have you any ideas what I could try? Barclaycard were very helpful to me in a previous situation where I was being charged for something each month that I knew nothing about - but on this occasion I feel completely abandoned by them.
I would greatly appreciate any advice you could offer.
(I'm totally new to this forum so I'm not sure if I've done this right as this is my first post)

Hi,

Just keep telling Barclaycard that as the merchant has broken their own terms and conditions by charging you before the trial /cancellation period was over then you should be entitled to a chargeback. Also show them this advice from Visa :

What action can I take if I've been a victim?
Consumers who believe they have been a victim of deceptive marketing and have not been able to resolve the issue directly with the merchant, should call their Visa card issuer to dispute the charge.

Hi Send barclays a copy of the cancellation letter or e-mail you sent to the company request they cancal your card. Banks are aware of this scam and you entitled to ask for a charge back, if you supply a copy of your cancallation letter that is all they need and it is within the terms and conditions of the company and your rights. It is true they will try to fob you off with the reqular payments thing. If you still have not luck advise them you will be contacting the financial onbusman. I have put all the deatils you need previously on this thread Good luck
• I have also recently fell for this scam for everbrite and the most enoying thing is that I still haven't actually received my trial package although I have been charged £63 plus my original payment for the trial.

I have noticed that although the company states that is is based in America, the actual contract / terms and conditions that you sign up to was devised in Great Britain and so if not stated clearly stated in this contractual agreement it should revert back to British Law. British Law states that companys have to make sufficient effort to clearly state if any additional charges should be made, and also that cancelling or refunds should be done in reasonable time.

Despite me knowing this, due to the fact that it is difficult to get hold of this company (especially to be able to get this all in writing) I am unsure as where to go to obtain my money back. I am flumexed at the fact that according to your bank you can be charged for an item that you haven't even received, let aknown trial it. You get more protection through ebay for disputes like this. I can't believe that this is not being dealt with in Britain due to British contract.

Please help cause although I have cancelled my order and cancelled my debit card and lucky have not received any further charges as yet, I am worried by reading other comments that I will find another payment out of my account despite receiving confirmation of cancellation. I also want to know what I can do to get my payment back as surely there is even an international law with regards purchasing and refunds if you don't receive the item.?????
• Hi,

Sorry, I have just found this website which as a Review of XM Brands. Basically this company reviews companies and gives a scoring. Please see this as it is interesting. What is more interesting is that it clearly states that Everbrite is considered a fraudulent business yet no government seems to take responsibility and sort out:- (I can't post links so please put www. before )
