I cannot believe I have been scammed by these morons, I am so mad with myself and my husband is furious with me. Today they took nearly £60 out of my bank account and I cant get it back. On the 4th May my bank rang me about a transaction on my account which they classed as fraudulent from an Australian subscription so they blocked my card and sent me a new one. I have been in touch with my bank and even though I have told them about the £60 they said that canceling my card would not stop them taking more money out my account as they still have the right as its automatically authorized because its a debit card. It took me 4 hours to try and cancel ringing all over the place and eventually getting sorted. I have sent an e-mail to the other company which the box says Vivid white as I cant find a telephone number for them so I hope they respond to the e-mail. I have a funny feeling that the Australian transaction could be them???? I am gutted and feel sick to the stomach as the money in this account is my bill money. I am totally surprised that Lloyds TSB dont be able to do much.

What you have to remember is that you have unwittingly agreed too a contract with the company. However the TSB need shooting for saying what they did without giving you advise of how to sort it out.

What you have to do now, And I see you have done is cancel the contract! " it won't get your money back but should stop any further payments going out"

Send a copy of this to your bank and insist that you have cancelled your contract with the company in accordance with "their terms and conditions of sale", if you have to print out a copy of the terms and conditions for your bank.

They should act on this information, If they don't make a formal complaint.

    Good luck.

Hiya Andywinchester. After a trip to my local branch of TSB, I stood my ground, let rip with much vent up anger and was told that no money would go out of my account again. The chap I saw gave me completely different advice and information than the chap I spoke to on the telephone  !!!!!! Anyway I now have it in black and white that if they let any transactions take place to these( beep beep) scammers I will have the money back in my account asap. I still feel so mad with myself and gutted that I've lost £60, thats a good night out lol. An expensive lesson learnt.

    Well done M8,
It makes me so mad that some banks just don't appear to have any set policies and procedures to follow in this sort of scenario, which is unfortunately all to common these days.
Anyway well done it's a shame that you have to scream and shout to get things sorted.
Do watch out for other companys associated with this scam that do remove money from your account they can slip through, "IBUILDWEALTH" is one you need to look out for.
If this happens contact your bank and report a fraudulent claim, It is fraud as you had no contract with this company "You will get this money back."

Florida Attorney General is planning action against the people behind this scam - if you fill in a complaint using this online form then you will be on the list of people that the Florida Attorney General will use as a list of people they require the scammers to refund any money to if/when legal action is taken but be quick as deadline is 14th May.

I too saw the advert and started to fill in the form..... I gave my name address and a fake email and telephone number and then pressed the submit and it then asked for my details of credit card. I then got out and didn't go back in.....

I don't know if I will get hassled now, but I guess not if they don't have my card or telephone details??

They were on an advert on a medical dictionary site, I should have reported them... I think I might go back in and do it.

    Hugs to all

Yes, I've been conned too, only found out yesterday. I've rung MBNA and they won't cancel my card. They told me to e mail both companies and ring them both. I've sent e mails but no reply yet and I'm going to try the numbers she gave me tonight. I've then to check my next statement and contact them if I've been charged again, which I'm sure I will. They weren't very helpful but they are dealing with a lot of complaints from these companies. They did sound confident about getting my money back though. Anyone had any joy?

Just got through to both companies.
Ibuildwealth have agreed to cancel my subscription and refund my money.
Everbrit have cancelled my subscription but refused to refund my $87 so its back to MBNA now. Dreading the phone bill and a valuable lesson learnt.
  • Can anyone please help me.
