I considered the Infacol but the HV said once you start giving that, you have to give it all the time so not sure. She doesn't always bring her wind up very easily, but after seeing that Finn and William are the same at night, it could just be one of those things.
You can always give a dropper of infacol after a feed if you feel she needs some help. It does say before a feed buy IME it worked just as well afterwards if I forgot.
And now she is 1 month you can try gripewater if you want to.

claire - I wish J would go back to sleep when I tell him its still nighttime! woke @ 6am for nothing more than a cuddle in bed with me & went straight back to sleep!
beenie - J didnt develop a routine until about 6-8 weeks and it still chops & changes! he was going 3hrs between bottles then 4 but now we are back to 3!
the only thing I'm ever sure of is 1.5hr nap in the morning, 2hrs in the afternoon & generally a 12hr gao between last & first feed. J has only just started staying awake in the car before he would fall asleep by the time I'd pulled out the drive!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Speaking of formula prices, I noticed yesterday that asda have reduced the cost of their C&G 1year+ follow on to £5 a tub! I've got some vouchers for £1 off that one so am going to stock up. At £4 a tub, its only just over half the price of the 6month+ one! Only 2 months and he will be the right age for it _pale_Mummy to

v. angry with OH right now - he had to wake J up this morning when he was getting ready for work. Being really noisy, and saying 'oh he's well lazy he should be awake by now'. Cue J waking up & has been a right misery guts ever since
Its me that has to deal with it not him - he only did it so that I had to get up instead of staying in bed til J actually woke up!
Do the same thing every day he gets a theoretical lie-in till he gets the message
My boogery office is still freezing cold, my baby screamed and was reaching for me as I was getting my coat on ready to leave, and I've written myself into a corner on the paper I'm currently writing.
Oh and I had a baby swing for €5 in the local expat classifieds and nobody was interested. Offered it for free to get it out of my way and I'm almost mown down with responses, including one from a guy who's repeatedly gone out of his way to insult me, OH and Molly. You wouldn't think €5 for something that costs €80+ new was such a hardship, right?

MFD - thanks that's helpful - sometimes she does bring her wind up okay, so would it be okay to not use it on those occasions? I'm just wondering why the HV said to use it for every feed, that's what put me off using it, i would be happy to try it after a feed if she's not bringing it up.
Last night i laid her on her front on my knees and it definitely soothed her, but rather than drawing her knees up as i was watching out for, she stretches her body out inc. legs, and she does this when feeding aswell, arching her back.0 -

Still more expensive than moo milk though Em.
I have been mulling over moo milk vs 1 year + milk and I think moo milk is the way to go for me (I think LOL!!)
I am planning to start introducing a bit to Benjamin in his sippy cup [STRIKE]from when I can be arrissed[/STRIKE] in the next month or so with a view to making the switch permanently, and doing away with bottles if I can, from around 1.
I also need to think about cutting out the BF but not sure how/when to do thatplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
beenie - J does the stretchy thing rather than the hunched up thing. IIRC I think Infacol does need a few days to build up & work, I use gripewater now because you can give it after a feed so I only give it if he really needs it. It works fine whether he's had it once or 6 times that day!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

As I understand it Infacol is one of those 'medicines' which builds up in baby's system so in theory it is better the more you use it. It is supposed to be used at every feed, before the feed, and I tried to do this when I could (I had bottle bl00dy everywhere!!) but if I forgot then I just gave it him after! You can only try and see if it works for you.
The arching her back definitely sounds like wind. Have you tried laying her down and very slowly raising her to sitting? Someone on here told me about it and after a few the bubbles just seemed to come to the top in a big burp!!
I always found that a good burping song always helped too :cool:please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120
