Million and one things on my todo-list today but Im sat here drinking tea, eating toast and shopping for a new dress for a hen party Im going to  But then again finding an outfit is on afore mentioned list so Im not actually doing anything wrong am i?
Oh yeah forgot to ask, does anybody know why Lexi finds it acceptable to get into bed with us at 4am, sit-lie-crawl all over me. Get me out of bed at 5am and and then want to go back to bed at 8.30 am? She will now sleep for the next two hours or so!

Morning
A big to-do list in the Choppy household this morning, so I'm hoping Caitlin isn't in a clingy mood. We've got my uni friends and partners coming for the day on Sunday and one of the couples is coming on Saturday and staying over, so need to get lots of housework done! We're out all day tomorrow, so it's got to be done today
No plans for going out, which is good but seeing as we're both still sat here in our PJs, not a lot has been done so far.
I hope the appointments go well for MM and Becles.
Fatty (hope you don't mind me calling you that) - I used nipple shields as I had quite bad mastitis and bleeding nipples, and it hurt way too much to even let Caitlin near me unless I wore them. She took to them straightaway, which was great but unfortunately she became dependent on them and refused to latch on without them. This was a pain when trying to feed discretly in public as you need three hands - one to hold your top up, one to hold the shield on and one to hold baby.
When I saw the horrible HV she told me to get rid of them if I didn't need them anymore. I kept trying but Caitlin refused to latch on without them and both she and her got upset. I went to the booby clinic and the lady there said not to worry about it and at least she was getting booby milk. In the end, she just latched on without them one morning when we were lying in bed and didn't look back after that.
That's quite a long reply, but just wanted to say that I had used them, they helped me loads (I would have given up BF without them, the pain was that bad) but we managed to get rid of them eventually. At the moment, it sounds like Toby will latch on with or without them, which is great, so use them as long as you need to but try and get rid of them as soon as you can (just for pure easiness when you're BF out and about). Krystal might be able to advise more, as my advice is purely from personal experience, not from a professional...0 -

Dont worry I feel the same - stuck here in Essex with no one else around:(Can someone tell my sprog that she looks so much cuter when not crying at 11pm?
Same here last night except it was from 11 - about 2.30!! must be something about Dec babies!! in the end I came down and opened the back door to which he stopped crying !!!Not sure what she wants, she's just had a bath and a loooooooooooooooong feed, but she's started being whingey on a night nowadays.
I'm ashamed to say i'm beginning to encourage the use of a dummy too
So far I've tried 4 different types of dummy, with no success although typically the TT discontinued ones that Henry has work better
Sparkle - I think OH is finding this with Henry - might be cos I am still in spare room trying to get William to sleep in a cot (still not happening) I'd just like to sleep in my own bed for a change!!!

FBB, do talk about the birth a lot! Same to jenny and beenie and CSH, JHA and everyone else who had recent babies. Studies show that we either need to dream-process or speak process an event to stop it becoming a trauma in our minds. New mummies don't get time to dream-process labour, so it's really healthy if you speak about it. Also really good for warding off PND
I think you're right Weezlie - I tried talking about mine with my mother, and she stopped me and said she hoped I wasn't going to be one of those women who bored everyone with talking about their births. Afterwards I was really jumpy and teary for a few days, and then once a friend asked me about it I managed to get it all out and felt much better.
Do you have a plan to get organised? I think there's some suggestion that close-together babies might be a little bit early?Million and one things on my todo-list today but Im sat here drinking tea, eating toast and shopping for a new dress for a hen party Im going to
Did you see that Coast have 20% off sale prices (5% Quidco)? I'm on a no-shopping kick but I'm determined that someone should get the benefit!Dont worry I feel the same - stuck here in Essex with no one else around:(
I know how you feel
Hope it goes well today MM and Becles.
Elle and Rhys enjoy your group.
Scruffy, how's your leg?
Gorgeous photos Beenie, even the crying one
Thanks aless, I'm ok, just a little bit sad. I know it was quite unlikely, what with Molly the perpetual ****-blocker and exclusive BF, but I was hoping a bit, you know?
Anyway, I have to put my shirt(s) on and go to work. My office is Baltic cold but I still have to go there. Just finishing my tea, and if anyone asks I will claim to have been in the main building (it's true, I have been in the main building, but not today....).
A question: do babies have proportionally long toes? Molly has massive unruly toes and neither parent has them so I'm hoping this is just because they start out proportionally long and grow slower rather than her have prehensile feet and never be able to wear sandals for her entire life.
Edit: aless, an American friend of mine swears that all babies cry more in the evenings because they're finding it stressful to process the day's adventures. Molly went through a phase of having a regular seven o'clock tantrum but has grown out of it and will now nap 7-8 and get up for an hour to feed and be charming.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Thanks Sugar, I'll go have a nosey .... Were going to The supper club at albert dock in Liverpool and then into city for cocktails, then a hotel. I havnt wore a 'going out' dress for ages and my legs could do with some work before the hem line comes up lol!
Oh sorry I forgot to mention about your negative result, I think I know how you feel - after having Joshua I was testing every month thinking I was pg and even knowing that having another wasnt on the cards for a goooood while as we didnt have space or money I still got a bit sad

Morning all
I fell asleep on the sofa at midnight, woke up at 3am, got into bed and slept until 8am. Rhys has been asleep all this time so the jab didn't upset him - he'd normally sleep this long anyway so don't know if it's the jab having a sleepy effect or none at all
Hopefully we'll make it to Boogie Babies laterColleague is phoning me sometime this morning to discuss dates for KIT days and working days (hence me waking up at 8am!
).
Hope your appointments go well today, MM and Becles0 -
Morning all
we have our first "new parent group" today 12-1.30 not sure what to expect but looking forward to it.
I decided to persevere with the breastfeeding rather than substitute one feed with formula especially as Tegan sleeps through the night at the moment usually 7/8 hours. Can't get her to sleep early tho. I fed her at 7 last night then put her into her night things and bed at 7.30. She cried and I fed heer again at 8 (a really good feed where yo feel the milk running through your breast). Then didn't manage to get her to sleep till 9.45! But she then slept through until I woke her at 6 for some more feeding (not sure how long she would have gone if I'd left her but she went straight back to sleep till I woke her up at 8.30). And fed her again and she is now lying on my feeding pillow she's had a poo, smiled whilst being sick and just staring at me making me smileTegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)
Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early)0
