This reminds me of something that happened to a woman I met at my HV led group. It was 30 degrees and her 7 week old was in the car, and she locked herself out of it and him inside at tescos. Him, and her mobile, cash, cards...She was so traumatised. She was alone, so didn't know if she should leave the car to get help or whether someone might break in and steal him, but she knew she had to get him out PDQ!

I hadn't realised how much of my self-confidence and identity is tied up in my work, so that's been a good realisation. I can start to make it be about other things.

I've been sat here pondering what I'd like my confidence to be built on instead and I think being a warm, loving parent, wife and friend is what I'd like to invest in more.
You certainly come across as all those things already :)

What a horrible situation - what did she do?

MM, I think Weezlie got you spot on there, I'm sorry you had a rubbish birthday :(

Do you know that I put on a stone when I gave up breast feeding? I'm now 15 stone!:eek::eek: See, that will totally shame me into losing some. I was 12stone 12 6 months after having DS2.

Wii fit plus is great! You know all that time you spend faffing about picking your next activity? It skips it, so you can do your 30mins in 30mins and it sets calorie goals. So I tota;;y worked off my ice cream :D And the step aerobic that I could never do cos I can't keep a rythm and trip over my feet, has a new feature, 10mins of stepping free style and you hear your beat (or counting) through the remote so can watch telly. Pick 3 speeds. Very impressed.

MM, sorry about your birthday sweetie, hope you can have a special day later in the week!

Toby is eating raisins, and can easily pick them up and put them in his mouth, but he doesn't close his mouth fast enough and they fall out!

Oh yes, I was going to ask.. is there such a thing as short term contracts for counsellors? The only thing I though of is say when something tragic happens, say at a school or workplace, and they say on the news "pupils/employees will have access to counselling if they wish".. do they like bring in extra counsellors for that? :o
  • OK ,
firstly THANK YOU to everyone for your birthday wishes :)

and secondly, no one is ever allowed to complain about having a crap birthday ever again !! Mine beats them all

This morning, I had to do everything in the house cuz Chris was sick, I then had to get me and everyone else ready as Chris went back to bed. I left the kids at mums house and as I was leaving to go for my massage, I CRASHED THE CAR !!!!! Thankfully no one was hurt, I dented her car door and my bumper :o

I have been driving for 12 years and have never had any kind of accident ever and of all days for it to happen !! So £200 excess and a nice rise in my premiums from next month as my renewal is up

I had my massage, and as lovely as it was, it was only less than an hour after the accident so I couldnt really relax much.

SO Chris is still asleep and not feeling well, so no roast duck and no cheescake, felt sorry for myself so took Jas and me to McDs for dinner !!

Anyone wanna cheer me up ???
    Happy birthday :j
I personally think birthdyas are sooo overrated!
