  • Toby is eating raisins, and can easily pick them up and put them in his mouth, but he doesn't close his mouth fast enough and they fall out!

Jasmine was doing this yesterday but with peas, it was so funny!

On "no" - Elijah (17 months) has been at the stage where he knows what we mean and what he should be stopping doing, for a while now... but is just provoked by it.
He is entering toddler tantrum territory I'm afraid  to the extent that if we say "No" firmly enough he will run at us shouting NONE-NONE-NONE and then headbutt the floor in fury! He also now hurls any object if he trips over it, or headbutts the door if it gets in his way  he has rage!

:rotfl:sorry but that really made me giggle, he sounds like a character!!

Hi everyone hope everyones ok, been lurking on the ipod past few days but cant really remember much to comment on!

I got my new car at weekend, oh i love it!!!! ive gone from a 1997 fiesta with no power streering, no back wipers and had to climb through the passenger side (not attractive lol) to a lovely shiny scenic (6yrs old) which feels a bit too posh for me!! i feel really guilty about buying it now even though we got a bargain, and ive been saving hard for a long time for it, ah well think i just worry too much!

motm, i noticed you said you were from devon, we'r having a little break there in march!! any recommendations of any good days out? hope your poorly girl is feeling better btw,

And, she's writing some report on his burns apparently. He's got two little scars on his arm from where they injected him with something to raise his blood pressure shortly after birth and it (somehow!) came out the syringe and burnt his arm (little black marks he had in the early photos is anyone remembers). The doc who did it was very apologetic at the time and had to have photos taken for an investigation yadda yadda (it contributed to saving his life, we're not bothered about two lil war wounds! :o). The scars are different, one raised one flat which she's not seen before

What a refreshing attitude to have Elle. So many people would be saying complain and sue!!
If you remember when I had Benjamin they struggled to break my waters and in the process Benjamin got lots of little cuts on his head :( I was obviously upset about it (I had let the junior doctor try) but it didn't cross my mind to complain - whenever I have told anybody they always seem to say that I should have done something about it...I was just glad that the maternity team got us both through it okay.

This reminds me of something that happened to a woman I met at my HV led group. It was 30 degrees and her 7 week old was in the car, and she locked herself out of it and him inside at tescos. Him, and her mobile, cash, cards...She was so traumatised. She was alone, so didn't know if she should leave the car to get help or whether someone might break in and steal him, but she knew she had to get him out PDQ!

We all listened with our mouths wide open aghast! What a horrid situation!

Our very own MacSmiler did this!! Her hubby came along on his white horse and rescued his princesses :A

On a lighter note. DH has cut fergie's baby mullet and little over the ear hair flaplets!

Ye gads he suddenly looks so grown up! (and it is not very neat at the back, kinda jaggedy. I am not going to say this tho because DH was doing his best, and is lovely. And also maybe doesn't have the same sentimentality about a baby stopping looking like a baby as me :D)

A HAIRCUT  rub it in why don't you  why don't you give the boy some steak to chew with his tons of gnashers whilst you are at it

Eventually you perfect the cross Mammy face and when you're out and they start misbehaving, you just need to fire a look and they know you're annoyed :D

When I was little we didn't have much money and my mum had a 'sorry we can't afford it face' at which point I would say 'I don't really like these (Clarks) shoes mum, shall we go and have a look somewhere else' when I got a bit older and money wasn't so tight I still used to use the same line and mum would be puzzled because she wanted to buy me something that I clearly liked but I had said no because I thought she had done the 'can't afford it' face :o

Oh come on Mfd, I saw Benjamin's hair on Saturday night.... It's flowing in waves over his little ears :p
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
