Thank you for all the birthday wishes :)
I had a lovely day, got some nice pressies and went out for lunch. Also had the most wine - 4.5 glasses  - I've had since before I was pregnant. (Elle - wine-wise, I feel fine, but haved woken up with a sore throat and a cough :()

CSH, Fitzio and aless - I meal plan monthly too and find it so much easier. Any bargains I buy in January will be built into Feb's meal plan.

Beenie - gorgeous pic of Amber in her outfit.

Fitzio - I saw those sleepsuits in Next on Saturday. They didn't have them in 6-9 though which is what Caitlin's just gone into :(

3 - how are you finding being at home? Are you loving it?

Elle - hope your burn isn't too bad

DKAM - hugs to you. Keep us posted on how you're doing, but it definitely sounds like moving is the best option. Have you told the police about your car too? !!!!!! is he playing at - his child could be in the car when you're driving it. Does he have no sense?

Outfits - Caitlin only wears sleepsuits at night. We have been very lucky that she has been bought so many lovely outfits that it seems a shame for her not to wear them. She has had a couple of daytime time romper suits (i.e. no feet or hands in them) and I count those as outfits. I love putting her in girly dresses with tights or jeans and a funky top though. Like Jennynoo's Eric, Caitlin has more outfits than sleepsuits.

Sami - I know this was aimed at Glam, but what a good idea for freezing the juice. We've been buying the juice and I was at the amount of sugar in it. I've been diluting it loads as Caitlin plain refuses to take water (although I'm still working on it)

Glam - how did the no DF go?

Have only caught up to page 392 but need to go and do a few jobs now.

    xxxx
  • Morning and tanks for all the birthday wishes :)

Yeah for laughing Andrew !! I love baby laughs :)

((hugs)) to those that need them

I feel I must comment however on MOTM post last night, even though I didnt get a chance to see the first 2 edits of it. It was me and not tia that made the 1st 'generalisation' post on here and tia backed me up. I dont think there is any need at all for the reply as in the context of the conversation that we were having, the generalisation was needed. We were talking specifically about a couple who have a baby that is told they may have a condition that will affect them for the rest of their lives, and in that situation, mothers NORMALLY cope better with it. None of the single mothers on here feel the need to comment on everything that is said about dads, so I am sorry that you feel that we are not aware enough of your situation that you have to comment on our post.
Also, if you had of been on that night, you may have noticed the post would probably have been worded differently, but you werent and neither was Bruno at that time, so I did not feel that I would need to address my post to a specific audience when they were not part of the conversation. I am sorry that you feel that you are no longer going to post. We have ALL helped you and supported you since you started posting on here, it is a public forum, we all read things we do not like or agree with, its part of internet life.

p.s You're all germophobes :p Mw said to wash my hands before everytime i picked up Amber when newborn. That lasted about 5 minutes :rotfl:

Sorry I'm a bit like Beenie ... too much OTT behaviour about germs sometimes I think

af - I use a pataks curry paste, half tin of tomatoes and about 50ml of water with meat & veg of your choice.

mjy hands are cracked too pieces cos I wash them so much - I didnt think I washed them that much but I obviously do

My hands are a nightmare too - I just never get time to put any cream on them !! LO loves curry and chinese as well especialy prawn toast.

And just to add to the debate, Henry was given cows milk as soon as 1 and loved it striaght away!! Didnt bother with follow on as waste of time and felt same with baby juice..he just has normal but really weak or water.
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.
  • Happy Birthday MM

MOTM I think it would be a shame if you stopped posting we all like to hear whats going on in your house, as you say your girls are older and I for one like to hear about how you deal with things so I can store them in my head for possible future use.

To me, this morning, it reads as a conversation between MM and Tia specifically about dealing with a childs disability, thats not something i or my OH have any experience of, so I just wouldn't say anything about it.
