i am most likely to use chicken, but when i did a whole chicken i really didnt go much on the texture.

I didn't like doing a whole chicken in the slow cooker, but I do use it for chicken breasts (sometimes whole, sometimes cut into pieces) in casseroles like chicken chausser and coq au vin. I love doing stewing steak based dishes in it or a pot roast beef joint as the meat goes all melt in the mouth. I love beef :D

Charlotte is a carnivore. Quite often she'll eat all her meat first and leave veg etc. She's always been like that.

Got no work on today. Was planning on spring cleaning but Charlotte is "helping" so I don't know how much I'll get done. Probably not much as she keeps asking to play hairdressers or shops or picnics etc :rotfl:

Spag Bol in the slow cooker....I hate spag bol from a jar and much prefer making my own. I think from what i know that this has to be left a few hours for the flavours to taste their best. I brown the mince, then stick everything in the slow cooker. Mine is huge so i can make about 6 batches for 3 of us and then use these for chilli, lasagne etc. It is the best bolognaise ive tasted.

Rose is 8 months now, 6 months corrected and still cannot use a sippy cup. Ive bought non spill, free flow and she cannot manage either. She manages better if i just put an open cup to her mouth, tho not ideal. Does anyone else have a problem with them?

    Morning all!

MM - happy birthday and healthy buttocks to you!:D Have a lovely day!
Chopsticks sorry wasn't forum'ed much yesterday but I hope you had a good day too :)

Angela I agree - you can make a quick spag bol but I think if you want the deeper, "proper" taste you're supposed to let it simmer down for ages, an hour or two etc. I like it that way but I don't have an SC and never tried that method but it makes sense!

On sippy cups - Elijah was at least 10 or 11 months til he got into sippy cups, we never tried hard to get him on board with them til then though, perhaps we could've got it going earlier if we'd been pushy! :) I wouldn't worry overly at 8 months myself :)

  • Morning and tanks for all the birthday wishes :)

Yeah for laughing Andrew !! I love baby laughs :)

((hugs)) to those that need them

I feel I must comment however on MOTM post last night, even though I didnt get a chance to see the first 2 edits of it. It was me and not tia that made the 1st 'generalisation' post on here and tia backed me up. I dont think there is any need at all for the reply as in the context of the conversation that we were having, the generalisation was needed. We were talking specifically about a couple who have a baby that is told they may have a condition that will affect them for the rest of their lives, and in that situation, mothers NORMALLY cope better with it. None of the single mothers on here feel the need to comment on everything that is said about dads, so I am sorry that you feel that we are not aware enough of your situation that you have to comment on our post.
Also, if you had of been on that night, you may have noticed the post would probably have been worded differently, but you werent and neither was Bruno at that time, so I did not feel that I would need to address my post to a specific audience when they were not part of the conversation. I am sorry that you feel that you are no longer going to post. We have ALL helped you and supported you since you started posting on here, it is a public forum, we all read things we do not like or agree with, its part of internet life.
