  • Jasmine has started a horrid thing of not washing her hands when she has been to the loo !!
She has never been like this till the last few months, and no matter how much I tell her its horrid, she doesnt seem to care !!
I have taken to following her to the loo just to make sure she is doing it !!

For exactly this reason I bought the Kandoo soap - the smell is really strong and if you don't wash it off properly it leaves a green mess on your towels. Now DSS knows that I could ask to smell his hands at any given moment!!!
MFD - I know it's probably not really necessary, but I don't want to take that risk tbh, I don't want to wrap her up in real life but medically I'm going to do just that IYKWIM, I just went through too much to have her.

Hand Cream - I got DH L'Occitane hand cream for Christmas, it's made a huge improvement on what they used to be like, he just has a few stubborn cracks now but it's where the fingers bend so he keeps reopening them at work.

Sorry MDW - your post just reminded me that we had made our minds up at long last!! My nephew is being done and I have really struggled to decide what to do. Unlike others, we have had 2 letters asking us to either go and have it or call and say no. Just the fact that they had a 'no' option was part of my decision IYSWIM!! I could easily have swung either way.

Will have a look at that hand cream if I ever remember how to spell it!

not booby milk but I've heard wee is good :rotfl:

    I won't be [STRIKE]telling you about[/STRIKE] trying that

Beccles - I get excema on the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet if I don't keep them moisturised so I use Boots Marshmallow and Mint Foot Cream every day on my feet (and my hands!!)

For all those with dry hands - do you know the trick of moisturising your hands before you do your face so your expensive face cream doesn't disappear into your dry hands?

Okay, stupid question.. I get that mint and lavender are natural etc so you can have "extracts of.." but how do you get extracts of marshmallow? Aren't marshmallows just manufactured sweets?:o

SMA follow on was new when DS1 was at the age of drinking it. We only got it cos cows gave him the dire-rear.

Aless, drinking animal milk is a bit unnatural, but we humans don't really follow a natural diet (I mean as animals what should we be eating). We farm crops and found that animal milk provides nutrition beyond what energy we put into it (hunter-gathers had to be careful that the food they ate provided more energy than was used to procure it). Interesting topic though.

MFD, whippy ice cream - listeria and just cos it's gross? It's on par with cream from a can *vomit* Oh thank god you agree about chocolate fountains! My MIL said I was 'particular' when I refused a strawberry that had been dunked in one after seeing somone else stick a marshmallow in, bite it and stick it back in fingers and all! *double vomit* yeah, and not even go into the whole 'melted chocolate pouring through the air' thing!

em, I wouldn't cook any mince in the slow cooker, don't see the point, can make a bigger pot on the hob and freeze it.

MM, the decorating go well then?

Anti bac, we provide it in the loos at the shop, soap and anti bac gel. The gel runs out quicker than the soap, so either folk just use gel, or just use water then gel or they think the gel is soap.... I don't own an anti bac gel of my own though...

MFD, oilive oil with or without either sugar or salt as a scrub or on its own rubbed into hands seems to work for me. At night, not throughtout the day... uhm... I use Ambers johnsons baby moisturiser cream.

Oh I used to hate my hands being dirty or sticky, I still do, but the boys can get as messy as they want.

bless B. he tries so many things. i'm really trying not to let my food dislikes have an effect on what i give LO. it took everything i had to give her baked beans. to me, they should be banned. evil evil things. she does eat them, i dont think she goes massively on them, but will tolerate them.

Can I ask if you just gave normal beans or whether you went for the low sugar, low salt ones? I have only done LSLS ones so far.

We have a rule in our family that NOBODY is allowed to turn their nose up at what Benjamin is eating. That includes me, hubby (much fussier than me), DSS, aunts, uncles, nans ANYBODY. I don't want Benjamin to be influenced by anybody else as to what is 'nice' and what isn't. If you don't like it - KEEP YOUR GOB SHUT!!!

MM - part of Benjamin's day is to sit and watch me put my creams on - he likes to hold the pots!! He knows which ones he can hold and which ones (pumps) he isn't allowed to touch! He likes me to tell him what I am doing ;):D
