GISI - that's the gist of it for me, too. IMO (and I'm likely totally misguided in feeling this way) dairy is "crueller" than the meat industry, but that might just be the result of the types of propoganda material I've read. I'm a hypocrit too as I love my cheese, etc.

but also there's the the evolutionary aspect of our bodies not being designed to digest animal milk...anyway, moving on as I'm going to bed. Just was interested if anyone else had similar leanings!

Re. the bolognese - doesn't the slow cooker make the mince go all mushy? I like my mince chunky, that's why i don't like them bags of frozen stuff in farmfoods etc

thing is, I am funny about public germs, but fine with my families !! I would let Dylan suck on my finger, then eat a sandwich with the same hand !! I think its good for kids to get some germs, but not the really horrid ones like at the supermarket !!

I was anti-bacing like crazy last week - the Catch It, Bin It and Kill It have struck home so that's what I did when i was sneezing everywhere.

Oh I forgot Katie has her piggy flu jab on Thursday, should be interesting as DH is taking her and he doesn't like needles!

I worked in catering for so long and saw so many things, I will never eat a carvery !!
