Admission to make DS2 (just 8mths) was eating, bombay potatoes, tikka masala curry sauce on rice, naan bread, prawn crackers, chips today at a chinese/indian restaurant. He was also attacking my arm and squealing until I gave him some ice cream - spoon after spoonful! People in the restaurant though he was so funny!

Aless- my only reservation with cow's milk is that it can make people (well me anyway) a bit mucussy (nice!) so I might be a little concerned from that aspect, but to be honest would be most likely to try Henry on it and see.

Also I would be willing to pay the extra for organic, since I think dairy is one of the things where there is a difference between organic and non-organic (but I guess that's a whole other debate).

Tara- I thought follow-on milk had more iron than cow's milk, which is deemed to be necessary for little ones. We survived on cow's milk though, so can't be that important.....

Evening all. Not been on since this morning, have been busy throwing Izzy's birthday party Lots of fun had by all. We have all the leftovers in the world now - anyone want some Maka-Paka cake?

LO loves curry. Sometimes his eyes water, but he still keeps shovelling more and more in!

I don't know much about Indian or Chinese food, so I don't know if I'd feed it to LO in a restaurant, but stuff I cook at home, or at SILs I'm fine giving him - no matter how spicy.

sami when i was younger my grandad owed goats used to drink milk basically straight from the goat .. i like mine cold of course x

I also like that fact that there are so many different lifestyles, parenting styles and general points of view on here. It gives me so many opportunities to say 'I know someone who......' or 'a friend of mine....' to real life friends! I feel like you have all opened my eyes to the complex world of parenting, and for that I am truly grateful.

I don't think they are necessary but I use it for a couple of months after the age of one. Poppy wouldn't touch cows milk as a drink and I wanted to make sure she drank 'something'. I give it to Jamie now too and gradually introduced it by subbing his normal formula for a few scoops.

Its in the Asda event next week and I have a few £1 MOC's too .

Also Sainsburys have some really funky babygrows in at the moment, and currently they are a third off!

Yes, I use it now but it didn't exist back 20yrs ago so we had to put drops in normal milk!
