Ooooh, just heard some gossip from my old job - when I left they got someone to replace me for half my job (I did the equivalent of two fulltime jobs - audio typing and admin - and didn't get a payrise ) but farmed the other out to the girl whose desk was across from mine. The second job was very intense - head of administration for a department - and the other girl was very nice but not the smartest. Anyway, she got behind with booking patients in for appointments, so instead of asking for a temp for a week she just took half the referral forms and hid them in her desk  So half the patients on the list never got called for their scans because only she knew she'd hidden their papers, and she didn't catch up enough to rescue them at any stage. Anyway, someone called to find out !!!!!! was going on and the whole story came out.

Had to share. As you were :)

    Hey all,
I am very new to this site but thought I would c if I can get a bit of advice. My 9 and a half month old boy wants to sleep in our bed EVERY night. I put him in his cot when he falls asleep but he always wakes up at some point and screams the house down till we bring him into our bed, then he falls ryt asleep!!
    hellppp!!!
    Amanda.
I think its a common phase, I know my eldest did it. When I felt it had gone on to long I started putting him back in his cot once he was deep asleep sometimes I got very little sleep but it was sorted in just over a week.
some say I should have let him cry but its just not for me.

    Cake is fine.

I just felt a little protective of Glam there as I feel she also had to, unfairly in my opinion, defend her decision to start weaning [STRIKE] when her boy was ready [/STRIKE]earlier than guidelines state the other night.

As i said the other day, these things are stressful enough without getting grief the one place you come to for support.

Hang on a minute lady - you can talk about how these things are communicated. Glam and I have a good relationship, have met in real life and got on really well - I asked her, specifically stating that it was without criticism, why she has started to wean Jack early. Glam explained why and I checked that she had not been upset by the question. There was no unfairness involved and if there was it was completely between myself and Glam and nothing to do with anybody else.

And for what it is worth - for everyone who thinks that it okay to start weaning early on here, there is another one who doesn't agree with it but keeps their mouth shut. We have to be tolerant of each other and get defensive or upset on someone elses behalf.

  • Hi Bensmum, I can offer no advice as I am a total odd ball - my DD is 2.5 comes into bed with us as some point in the night, is in a bed in our room and breastfeeds twice a day.

Saying that ladies I am have decided that I am going to see if she asks for "juice" before bed tomorrow as the last couple of nights she's not really bothered at all - but has made up for it overnight/in the morning.

DKAM - I don't know what to say tbh, at least the police are helping.
