My [STRIKE]mum who's a nurse [/STRIKE]friend who's a dietician, said that the World Health Organisation set the guidelines of weaning at 6 months as breast milk is more sterile which is an issue in third world countries. It is not actually because babies are too young for food. The Dept of Health just set the same guidelines so that it's more straightforward.

Not saying that's definitely correct, but it's interesting to me nonetheless!

P.S. Joke was for the older kids amongst us. I hope someone gets is. :o

    ETA - nice cake Sami!

I've always believed that to be the case re the guidelines.

I don't get the 'joke', maybe its because I'm not as old as you?:p Or I'm dolly, one of the two

Ooooooohh, cake? Yes please :) And perhaps some tea?

I just had nommy peppered steak with mushrooms for dinner, we're utilising all Husband's sneaky kitchen knowledge to make things taste good with very little fat. BUT I STILL WANT SOME CAKE.
