I've just sat down for a min cos I burnt myself on a pan and went all woozy
dkam, I don't know your story but  hope you are ok.
Erin always wears outfits during the day because for some reason I currently have more outfits than sleepsuits  she is between sizes and only 4 of the sleepsuits fit properly but we are managing. And anyway, I enjoy dressing herToday she is wearing a green stripy dress, cream tights and a green jacket.

Er ... I'm not feeding Andrew any juice (C or NFC, diluted or otherwise
) yet, should I be? And presumably it's better from a sippy-cup of some kind?

Baby juice is fine, its just diluted fruit juice, so its full of natural sugar like normal juice is
But IMO its not diluted enough, I have given it to Seth but I diluted it more!
I normally just give him a tiny splash of our usual no added sugar squash in his water :shhh:
is this not a good/recommended thing to do??
i thought i could....'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

I'm sure Elle said earlier she gives milk drinks due to the calorie content so I'd imagine if gaining weight is a priority you'd be better off with milk0 -
Elle, hope you are feeling better now and have had something to eat.
ThankyouAll better now.. still stings a bit but it's not quite as "glowing" as it was. My own stupid fault - clearly you would expect a metal handle of a pan that's been boiling for half an hour to be hot, wouldn't you?
A while ago, I left Rhys like this, playing happily. I went to peel and chop potatoes and could hear him stop playing with his toy arch and start wittering. Thought nothing of it and shouting I'd be there in a minute - I thought he was just bored. When I came back, he'd pushed himself backwards so far his head and shoulders were off the mat and he was repeatedly bashing his head on the wipes box! :rotfl: He never pushes himself backwards when I'm watching him :cool:0 -
Do you think that maybe he thinks that he doesn't need to help with any of the highlighted above, because he moved into an established household where you'd always done everything yourself?
Possibly. I hadn't thought of it like that. I know he thinks I'm lazy and I don't do anything, so that contributes too.
ETA: he is obviously working and financially supporting the family
LOL - that's a whole new can of worms!Dontknowanymore wrote: »But unfortunately other things arent going too well, I went to my house on Sat to pick up some stuff and found my front door wide open, went in to find I'd been burgled!
Gosh that's awful *hugs*
Hope you are the boys are ok xx
Juice = I never bought proper baby juice and just gave them ordinary chilled fruit juice. At first I diluted it with water, then gradually built them up to full strength! Here I go again on my own....0 -
All you had to say was 'glam it cheaper to do this.....' rather than tell her she'd just fed her son 'crap'.
Nothing wrong with having an opinion on baby juice, just be a wee bit careful of how you communicate that to others
Glam sorry if you read it as that but I hope you know me enough to know that I wouldn't say that intentionally (and that I let my boys eat crap-ness ocasionally)
can I offer everyone to birthday cake as an apology?0 -
I will confess that I hadn't look at the ingrediants and they have reduced the number dramatically (down to just 2 now:)) from when I looked at them

Cake is fine.
I just felt a little protective of Glam there as I feel she also had to, unfairly in my opinion, defend her decision to start weaning [STRIKE] when her boy was ready [/STRIKE]earlier than guidelines state the other night.
As i said the other day, these things are stressful enough without getting grief the one place you come to for support.0 -
i wasnt commenting on anyone way of weening or anything i was just saying what i did as i didnt care what other people said .. sorry if i upset anyone .. cuppa?? x
Still searching .....:)
