I think having a Nanny is a good thing, the downstairs is spotless for her arrival at 2pm tomorrow. She phoned today to confirm, which was good. I'm nervous but excited. It'll do LO good to have another person to love, I've got to remind myself of what is good for him.

...Yay for Dysons (I'll never buy anything else now)

I love, love, love the Dyson:D:D

Feelie, is it 4hrs she is coming for? Have you decided what you are doing with yourself, I know you were saying you might stay around the house, but have you decided to go out for an hour or so?

My new Dyson arrived this morning too... It's standing in the middle of the living room waiting to be used... Won't be tonight though!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Yup, four hours. Tomorrow I'll just potter about so LO won't be left alone for very long, then I'll gradually build it up till he is comfortable. He did stay alone wit Homestart lady for 30 minutes so hopefully it'll be the same with the Nanny.

    Evening everyone,

just catching up, hope everyones ok?

Angela I love that bookcase!! is it attached to the wall? I could do with something like that in jakes room as its a little tight on floor space,

Yes we attatched it to the wall with just two screws and placed caps over them ( like the ones you find on mirrors). The mdf to make it was about £12, the rest of the cost is paint and the letters. So if you had paint etc im sure you could make it cheaper and it takes up so little room x

Fantastic. Yeah good idea about building up gradually, that will definitely be the best bet for both of you. It will be lovely for him to have someone 'new' to play with and for you to have a little rest from being on call 24/7!
