I think having a Nanny is a good thing, the downstairs is spotless for her arrival at 2pm tomorrow. She phoned today to confirm, which was good. I'm nervous but excited. It'll do LO good to have another person to love, I've got to remind myself of what is good for him.
Was AF seeing the HV today? I got muddled up.
Hope everyone is alright this evening. Yay for Dysons (I'll never buy anything else now). Boo for tiredness and ebay, especially big boo for them together. Hugs for poorly families and broken glasses. Yay (again, cos its great news) for jobs. 'Mmmmm's for cake pictures. Awwwws at photographs. Welcome back to Angela, and to Sami (don't think I said it before). Any news DKAM?
Elle - are you still feeling 'odd'?
MOTM - any news on Lucy?Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
How about something second childhood like? Meccano or something he can build with the boys?
Debenhams had a build-your-own internal combustion engine that Husband gave my dad for Christmas and was a big hit
I like that idea!
Lol!! He'd kill me :rotfl:My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »We have the combustion engine for [STRIKE]hubby[/STRIKE] DSS to build.
Meccano these days is simply not what it was
I think there may be some classic sets knocking about but the new fangled plastic stuff is just not cricket!!
...and the boys may need to be a little older to appreciate it...
Tis a good idea though.
How about a pipe and slippers

SS - that sounds like a great idea. Do you think FIL would like a massage Sami?

I love, love, love the Dyson:D:D
Feelie, is it 4hrs she is coming for? Have you decided what you are doing with yourself, I know you were saying you might stay around the house, but have you decided to go out for an hour or so?Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Evening all - 8:30 - 9ish wasn't a bad guess. Just waiting for my food to cook. Will go back and have a catch up. Everyone else settled?

My new Dyson arrived this morning too... It's standing in the middle of the living room waiting to be used... Won't be tonight though!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Yup, four hours. Tomorrow I'll just potter about so LO won't be left alone for very long, then I'll gradually build it up till he is comfortable. He did stay alone wit Homestart lady for 30 minutes so hopefully it'll be the same with the Nanny.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
