Boo, you should be fine with dental anaesthetic. Mention to them that you are breastfeeding though just in case... Information here: http://www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk/pdfs/Dental_Treatment_and_Breastfeeding_March_2009.pdf
Incidentally... Pumping and dumping is not really needed unless you are needing to maintain your supply... Most things clear through the body and therefore the milk without itA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I've never been sedated before, their sending me to the dental hospital as Im quite nervous and it's a root to be removed from a cracked wisdom tooth.
Thank you for the teats tip too x
Thanks Krystal, I'll have a read of that. Good to know about the milk too, I hate the thought of throwing it as it takes me a few goes to get a full feed. I was devastated throwing the bottles she refusedBelly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
DH says that medazolam might sedate a baby via milk, but nitrous is completely fine. Either way, If you say when you get there that you are BF they can offer you the safest sedative

Afternoon all. We managed a nice long nap after (not very much) lunch, and woke up too late to go to play group, so we've been to the supermarket and had a very brief trip to the park. Not very exciting, but it got us both some fresh air, and we saw a doggie, which is always a bonus
Have been playing catch up gradually over the afternoon, so can't remember who/what I was going to reply to now.
I know I meant to  at silly woman at boobie group though.
We have a horrible runny tummy today - I assume it is a teething thing, although her teeth don't seem to be bothering her? 4th tooth only came through a few days ago, so might still be that? She can't have much poo left in her (especially as she isn't keen on eating anything but rice cakes at the moment either!) Lots of milk instead, so she won't starve. DH will be cross though - he wants me to stop giving her as much milk, but if she is poorly and won't eat then what can I do (tell him to stick it, that's what
).
Off to go fetch him from the bus now, then do bath/bed time, then clear up the chaos from today, and find some food - will probably be back around 8:30 or so! tataIsabella Molly born 14th January 2009

just thought i would share our tea-time hilarity with you all. I was trying out a new recipe - lentil curry. It is ultra mild and made with coconut milk. Yum. LO spat it out and refused to try any at all. Once it was clear I had given up I said 'right, lets have eggy bread instead'. Well blow me - she smiled, tipped her head on one side and said 'yogurt?' then clapped her hands!
Who says adults run the show?! I have an independant madam on my hands - she's only 11 months for goodness sake!
PS she got eggy bread, grapes and banana before she got yogurt!!!!

Thanks ladies, your stars
I've been sent a book to review called 'the sensational baby sleep plan' I think they should have sent it whilst I was still pregnant, not too sure where to find the time to read it :rotfl:Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0
