    Hi everyone,

I've only had a quick scoot through the posts, whilst I've been eating lunch and C is asleep. We went to rhyme time this morning and it seems to have worn her out, she hasn't slept for this long in the daytime for ages.

Sami - welcome back. I never got round to saying it!! I have a recipe that produces cookies with the same kind of softness as the ones you buy from the bakery in Tesco, if that's any help? I haven't had Dominoes ones, so don't know how they compare.

Weezl - I'm sorry for not replying to your email on Thursday. Bit embarrassed to post the picture on here as I hate photos of myself, but what you have done is brilliant, and I'm very grateful. Thank you again. Also, if I know anyone who needs anything similar doing, I'll definitely pass on your name. I was reading your MFW diary last night (it was the first time I have come across it, and I was glued to it, which is why I wasn't on the parents' thread) so can see where the profits from any photo changes will be going ;). You have done amazingly well to reduce your mortgage by that amount. We keep saying we're going to do something about ours but apart from saving some money each month in an account to pay a lump sum off when it comes to re-mortgaging later this year, that's it.

General stuff - I'm glad the March babies are still having morning and afternoon bottles. When I saw the HB last week, she told me I should be trying to drop them and only keep the early morning and bedtime bottles but to make sure she still has at least 600ml of milk a day. I know the milk is in cheese, yoghurts, mashed potato, on her weetabix, etc but I don't think I'd be able to get 600ml into her from just two bottles and food each day. Besides, I don't think Caitlin will give those two bottles up very easily just yet!

.....and she awakes!!! That was short and sweet....hopefully back later xxxx

Is mine the only baby clinic that weighs them with clothes?
We do nudey weighing at checkups with the doc but weekly weighings are done with clothes. I always dress K in the same stuff: vest, socks and babygrow so I get a good indication of weight.

Seth has about 4oz when we first get up, 3-4oz when we put him down for his morning nap, flatly refuses to eat breakfast til after his morning nap by screwing his face and mouth up and banging his head on the back of the high chair :rotfl:
Then 3-4oz before his afternoon nap, and 4-5oz at bedtime.
He is happy to eat til he pops, but milk is boring now

I gave him weetabix for the first time this morning as a change from ready brek, he loved it! I only gave him one bisk though and it seemed a bit small compared to his usual porridge serving, but "they" recommend a adults serving is two, so I cant give him two? Can I?! Gutbag child!
Then again, two weetabix would fill me for all of half an hour, I usually have three!

How much ready brek do you give? We've been doing 2 heaped dessert spoons (instead of 5 on box) and she struggles with that, with weetabix, she'll have about 1/2 of 1! Isn't it funny how much little boys and girls seem to differ in their appetites? Must grow out of it though as I eat like a horse all the time!

Nope, they never said anything about my weight all pregnancy. I think my BMI was 17.2 at my booking appointment when I filled in my notes
I guess it must depend on trust policy - ours do it if you have a BMI of 18 or less but they round your BMI down to the nearest whole number so mine was really 18.1. It did amuse me though that while they were doing growth scans to make sure Alice wasn't too small because of me being underweight, they were also doing glucose tolerance tests and telling me to have a low sugar diet to ensure she wasn't too big.

It was nude here with my DD 13 yrs ago but so many others are nude still. I personally don't see that stripping a wee baby, esp in the middle of winter can be of any benefit:confused:

Do you have any other kids or just the 2?

Oooh what do you think of this? I wanted the I Love my Bear one in dark, but this one is cheaper atm

    http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Nursery/Cots-and-Cotbeds/Kensington-Cotbed-in-Dark-Oak%280073418%29

Still need to save up for it though  I need to figure out how long i've got to have the money - when did your babies move into cots? Prob won't be in sale by then but i'm sure i'll find a similar one for that price

She has a basket and a crib atm.

We built Henry's cot in our room last night as he's getting too big for his moses basket. He wouldn't sleep in it though, so ended up in his moses basket in the cot! He's a great big chunk though, so I am sure Amber will last longer in hers than him.

Henry weighed a monstrous 13lb 10oz at the Dr's yesterday- not bad considering he'd had a (mild)tummy bug and a cold since he was last weighed a week ago.

I have myself a heart attack earlier when I was updating my budgeting spread sheet. For some reason, I managed not to include OH's wages (AKA most of our income at the moment) so it looked like we couldn't afford the mortgage . Thankfully I have now sorted it, I never was much of an Excel whizz. There's no council tax next month, is there? Is it Feb and March we don't pay? Happy days if it is as our car tax is due in March.

SM- sorry to hear about your washing machine. I agree with Fitz that it is worth asking on Freecycle. We just gave away our old TV, and OH and I both agreed that we'd be happy to deliver locally if needs be as we really wanted to be rid of it, and we're out and about in the car quite often anyway so it's really putting us out.

I'm off out later to get ingredients for this soup. Nom, nom.....
