Isn't it funny that our babies do all these things when they weren't even born a year ago?
LOL - this time last year I was sat at this desk (with the chair pulled a little further back) on a cushion and driving home in the evening talking and singing to Bubba. How much my life has changed.
It was strange when Benjamin got to 40 weeks so he had spent longer out of me than in me IYSWIM, it is hard to believe he is going to be 1 soon - he will be at school before I know it!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

I do hope you are all well - how big has rhys got?
Hey stranger.. We've missed you!Lovely to see you back
Rhys is finally getting bigger though not so much as he should be - too much bouncing about working off the calories, I reckon.. (maybe I should strap him down?
). Fab to hear LO is doing so well!
Off to look at your website now..

OT went well this morning, we are getting a triangle seat and a bath seat and I have been told to feed Dylan wotsits !!!
Well, not quite, but she said as its easy melted to help him associate putting things in his mouth with food, its an easy one to start him on and there is less fear of choking. So we are to start that and we are also getting a referral to the speech therapist because he has so little interest in food to get some ideas on what might help. To be honest, I would rather let him get on with it in his own time, but apparently at 7 months he should be eating better than he is. Oh well, just one more appt to add to the list !!
Hope you are all well, havent had time to catch up
((hugs)) to all
MM, we saw a SALT when Rhys was struggling to feed orally. They were really nice (mostly - apart from her telling me he'd *never* bottle/breast feed.. HA ) and offered to come back again when we got to weaning if he struggled, so there must be some help they can offer.
Organix also do tomato and sweetcorn (separately) wotsit type snack tooelle, been reading a little more... Looks like soya and rice milks are lower than sheeps/cow and goats milk, but atill a lot higher than breast milk. The next lowest is formula, with only approx 1% more of potassium and phosphorus than breast milk. Could you face swapping to formula? I can look at which is the lowest brand for potassium and phosphorus if you like
He is already on a bit of formula, nothing against it, just want him to have as much BM for as long as possible, so I'm still expressing the same amount but freezing some and replacing that with formula. Helps apease the dietitican too a bitVery MSE too cos it's prescription premmie and kidney specialist type too! If he can't have any other type of milk, he'll just have to have formula after a year, like you get toddler milks
Thankyou for looking xx

Did you get extra scans when pregnant for being underweight? I did even though the "pre-pregnancy" weight was only low enough because I'd lost a stone through hyperemesis.
Nope, they never said anything about my weight all pregnancy. I think my BMI was 17.2 at my booking appointment when I filled in my notes0 -
Sorry, haven't actually said.. Morning all!

ooh I'm having trouble not missing things as Ed is so blimming wriggley and I have no where to put him  he managed to fling himself out of his rocking chair yesterday
Keely *hugs* for you, the asda offer is still going AFAIK so you can get some replacement specs cheaply
MFD - do you use c&g night time milk?
random question for OS'ers do you know how so make cookies really gooey and yummy like the ones you get from dominos pizza?
I made some cookies yesterday but they were quite dry so I couldn't decide less flour/more egg/more butter
I only had these glasses a month ago from asda, hopefully they'll repair them for me-hubbys had a close look and doesn't look as bad as first thought.Mommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0 -
Hi
I don't post here often but have a March 09 baby (born 4th) who has issues with food and here's what she eats:
Bottle - 7oz
Breakfast - usually ready brek with fruit, found out recently she prefers it made with water
Lunch - usually finger food, eg 1 crumpet some organix finger snack and small yog
Bottle - usually at 2ish - 7oz
Tea - about 5pm, some homemade stuff (hot food, stew or something similar)
Bottle - 7pm 7oz
she normally finishes her milk but very rarely her food (except when she went to nursery for the first time yesterday when she ate everything!) And she never asks for food or milk, just gets given at about the time I think she wants it. HAsn't had milk in the night since about 4-5 months? Drinks very little water though - anyone any idea how much water they should have?0 -
Never mind the glasses for now Keely - are you ok?
Afternoon all - I'm currently covered in mushed mixed veg that my gorgeous daughter raspberried out at me and eating low fat tasty sauce on pasta. I'm working on my paper with Molly and Husband hanging out here too and if every work day could be like this I probably wouldn't even take Sundays off.
Going to check my BMI, but I prefer the measurement of "my belly sticks out [this far] over my trousers" to see how I'm doing.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Glad to hear things are a wee bit better. Take it it was Virgin?? My FIL chopped through my cable when we redone the driveway and they were like 'can you turn the modem off and on again', no you bloody moron, my cable is in 2 pieces just send someone out!!!!!!
Hmmmm, if he does come, don't fall for his crap!
I highly doubt he'll come anyway, but if he does i'm gonna make him pick up all the sludgey dog poo in the garden cos i didn't clear it up and then the snow covered it:rotfl: I've had enough of his crap it's about time he dealt with some IMO
