That's in the "normal" BMI range. (I know because I'm 5'8" too.)

Don't mind, we kinda are, however not gone to plan this month as DH not well at first I didn't think he'd be up for it, amazing what having a son does to a man (well sometimes anyway) he's already got names planned when we have another. He had it all sorted before i'd even given birth to Daniel :rotfl:

Its weird this came up because today i was trying to remember why you've been told to fatten Rhys up, is it 'just' because he doesn't conform to those pretty lines on the chart?

It's just because he's not in a line at all.. Well, he's making his own line, but it's below the 0.4 percentile Probably nearer 0.1 actually, but hey someone's got to be the titchy one!

As far as I know, it's not doing him any harm - he's not painfully thin, you can't see his ribs and he has a budda belly going on - but of course he's not conforming to the book :rolleyes: But I guess they can't just give up on him and they have to try everything to get him to gain weight.

I'm happy to feed him up on cream now that he's older (I refused when he was so little because I don't agree with early weaning) and fortified milk like he had from early on.. Don't know what else there is for them to suggest but I'm not keen on extra meds - he's on enough already. Will see what they suggest next week, am sure it'll be the negative side of the conversation :cool:

My OH like that too although I am not good at being pregnant so not looking forward to that bit!

i get confused by the lines and percentiles etc. when i asked the HV (the scary one that's coming around) about LO's weight as i was worried she was gaining too much as she was still taking so much milk and not a lot of food, she asked me why was i worried.

when i said that she is moving up the lines and going up the percentiles she said that was fine. she said not to pay attention really to the lines or the percentiles as long as it is rising. what they didnt want is to see her falling back.

if i remember correctly its the top end of it of normal i wanna get closer to the other side iykwim x
