No danger of Rhys steaming through the 0.4 line anytime soon! :rotfl:
I don't think you should pay too much attention to the ups and downs, as long as it's a gradual (sp? doesn't look right!) curve in general, I'd not worryEvery time Rhys is weighed, they write it in his red book (will run out of room soon!) and make that sucking in air like an expensive plumber sound..

Hello,
Quick one before I head to bed:
Carla - you went for a bath before I caught up. My update is H had third injections today and it left her in a funny mood - between absolute hysterical laughter and grumpiness! Not sure they are related to jags but it's been a funny evening. Hope you and LOs are well and teeth are coming through well.
Annie - are you in Scotland? I am pretty sure you are. There seems to be a lot of us around at the moment! Hope LOs reflux gets better soon if that's what it is.
Csh/Susan - I want to join you in summer 2011! I want to go back to work P/T in July, but need to work out if I would be better going back F/T with the aim of getting pregnant quickly and getting F/T wages on mat leave, then going P/T when number 2 is here. But don't want to miss out on Holly when it might not go to plan. Decisions...
I also feel guilty about returning to work with the aim of going on mat leave again very soon, but I suppose I may as well get it over with quickly. It won't make much difference to them if I left it another couple of years or not.
Evening to SM, MM, Elle, Sami, Dora, AF etc. It will be quiet on here when those due back at work return in a few weeks.
I am going to bed now. x0 -
Hi and bye, Fitz!
Hope Holly is okay in the night after her jabs xx

I'm 5ft 7
It's just because he's not in a line at all.. Well, he's making his own line, but it's below the 0.4 percentileProbably nearer 0.1 actually, but hey someone's got to be the titchy one!
As far as I know, it's not doing him any harm - he's not painfully thin, you can't see his ribs and he has a budda belly going on - but of course he's not conforming to the book  But I guess they can't just give up on him and they have to try everything to get him to gain weight.
I'm happy to feed him up on cream now that he's older (I refused when he was so little because I don't agree with early weaning) and fortified milk like he had from early on.. Don't know what else there is for them to suggest but I'm not keen on extra meds - he's on enough already. Will see what they suggest next week, am sure it'll be the negative side of the conversation
I just randomly worried that as you say he is just the special rare baby and that fattening foods would give him furry arteriesI know that's rather silly though!

when i said that she is moving up the lines and going up the percentiles she said that was fine. she said not to pay attention really to the lines or the percentiles as long as it is rising. what they didnt want is to see her falling back.
The lines are essentially a statistical ideal not a true representation of an actual baby0 -

I'll ask about furry arteries on Monday, just for youNo seriously, I do want to ask if any of the tests they already do on him would test for if this high fat diet is doing him any harm. Certainly don't want to bring any more tests on him though, and definitely not blood tests. It's harder every time so that's another thing on my list to see if we can do them less often.. stuck between a rock and a hard place really!

Ah, she will be fine thanks Elle. I think she had a bit of wind tonight actually, but we had some nappy free time and some massage which we haven't done for ages as she is hardly bothered by wind at all now, so that was nice.
I think we will go shopping tomorrow. Need to get out and it's thawed a little bit up here. Is it this week your course starts? My memory is like a sieve.

she's the scary one coming to visit.

i'm off to bed all,
LO hasn't woken yet so hoping to get a few hours...what are my chances???

Yup, starts on Wednesday
Reminds me, need to quiz Claire on more about it - I've already been warned about the role play element.. and I am soooo not a fan of role play! (Claire, will txt you tomorrow.. you might have to get the kettle on!
)
Am kinda looking forward to Wednesdays now.. they're going to be babyfree daysNot this one as OH is having Rhys to take him to his hearing test, but from next week, he's going to Mum's all day so I can get some stuff done and go into town on my own
Going to call in for a cuppa with the girls at work this week if they're not too busy.
AF, maybe she's a sleep genius and she wants a new challenge!Give her a chance.. and if she's no good, do as MFD says and boot her out! Don't get the bikkies out until you know she's nice..
Fingers crossed for a good night xx
