  • If you are in receipt of DLA or pension credit Tia, you need to get an application form t=for the first time you apply and then you just get it every time after that

    Hi Mel,

You are right, i think my LO and Kai are within a few weeks of each other.

What you set out is kind of what i am looking out. LO has her fair share of 'not good' food as such, and that's mostly cause she can eat it with her hands, but it's a struggle with meat and some veg. i'm not overly bothered if she isn't into meat at present, but i will keep trying.

i guess the idea is to let her have what we are having but just put it on her highchair/bumbo tray and let her go. she is brilliant with any type of bread product if she is in the mood for food.

i think i just doubt myself as to what to give her. i need to just chill and give her whatever is going and see how we get on

Tbh I just stick him in his highchair and let him get on with it...I was getting so upset with the whole situation, but now realise he will just eat how much he wants to. It has really made my life so much easier, as not only do only cook one main meal, I can sit and eat my meal in peace.....My child is weird though as I have to not really look at him too much or at least not let him see me looking as he stops eating then. I try and sit so I can sort of spy on him to check he isn't choking etc but he can't see me looking:rotfl:

I agree that you just need to go with it, I don't gove Kai too much meat either but he LOVES potato chunks whether boiled or roasted (or chips) and he is really into his peas/broccolli...I have had to adapt our eating slightly in that we don't have as many things like bolognaise, but when we do I use pasta twirls and just make his so it is just coating the pasta when all mixed in and he happily picks up the twirls and munches away....I just find it a lot more messy that's all

Good luck and let me know how you get on:)

Oh, no, maybe not. You have to be in receipt of JSA of IB. So no then.

El was exactly the same and still is if I try and encourage her to eat she just stops altogether so i find it easier to ignore her whilst eating!!
