Aless i meant to ask, (since Finn and Amber are only 4 days apart i'll probably have lots of questions for you over the next few months:D) are you finding him slipping into any patterns/routines yet? I'm noticing she is having mroe and more awake/alert time each day and it just so happens that her longest awake stints are mostly at 2am and 7am

hmmm, I'm trying but usually fail on keeping the timings consistent :o. Yes have noticed loads more awake time - he used to sleep all morning but now is pretty much awake for that. This is our *very rough* routine at the mo:
    - Wake at 8/9am
    - Various levels of alertness (so there are some doses in here) 'til around 2/3pm
    - Naptime 'til around 5:30pm
    - from 5:30 - 'til 7:30/8ish I try and keep him awake but as it takes like an hr to get him conscious after the nap this doesn't usually work
    - bath every other day, nappy change, feed in semi-darkness to make sleepy at around 8/8:30pm
    - put down for bed, but usually stirs so takes another 30 min - 1hr to settle finally (so he might be down by anywhere from 9/9:30)
    - wake 3 times in the night for a feed (11/12ish, 2/3ish, 5/6ish).

Lately he's been not settling well after the midnight feed, which I know is b/c his afternoon nap is too close to bedtime, whoops. I keep meaning to put him down for nap sooner but somehow everyday have gotten distracted and not managed it!

Like I said, this is extremely variable and dictated by his moods!

Tigs i have already had my CTC award for Amber, so does that mean i'll get them backdated? I rang tax creds on 23rd Dec, and they said they'd just make a note for now as i haven't reg'd her and so no child benefit yet, but they sent award with new payments starting 19th Jan

So do i not need to ring H.Start? Hmm maybe i will anyway i don't trust them lol. Haven't had any vouchers since Nov they sent them up til my EDD but nothing since and i went 9 days over  Will email too, thanks for the addy
I was just grateful to find something I could do by email, rather than having to phone up one govt department after another! Haven't they heard of the internet, email etc? Why do we have to phone, sit on hold for aaaaaaaages, and then talk to a numpty? (no offence!)

Shall I just put it here in white? Ok then, its easier ;)
This will get the guys thinking...let's see how dirty their minds are, though its not at all rude. Ok, so this is the game...this is about how you have got your hair styled...if its up, write ON TOP...if its down and at either side of the face, write SIDE BY SIDE...if it's long & straight, write GIVE IT TO ME STRAIGHT...if its just a complete mess, write EVERYWHERE N MESSY...you get the picture!...Let's see if they get this one! but ONLY SEND to GIRLS!!!!!! (put it as ur status)
    ;)

OH definitely broke the oven the other day, I just did some chips and thick black smoke happened. The chips were ok though, so its not all bad :rotfl: Methinks I need a splash or Mr Muscle!! Or perhaps OH needs it... hmm

Aless, i know you said it's only rough, but i wouldn't even be able to hazard a guess! All i know is that she's making a habit of being awake for ages in the night lol.

I did say last night i was gonna start writing down timings to see if there's any pattern but i haven't :o

Thanks everyone for the support, it does make it less lonely knowing there's all you lovely people to vent to and definitely takes the edge off. Whenever anything happens, good or bad i find myself getting my mobile out to ring the ex to talk to about it, but i can't do that anymore and coming here gives me that outlet!
