Hi all, does anyone use huggies pull ups or nappies.. I have 2 x £1 money voucher off pull ups and a £6 coupon for any huggies if anyone wants to PM me.

William wont go to sleep.... he's been up since about 7.30!!! and also wont let me put him down, feeding is just not happening as goes to sleep after about 5 mins and then wakes up if you put him down... I want to sleep in my own bed without a baby ....AHHHHHHHH

That reminds me Maz, I was going to ask about pullups.

LO doesn't mind lying down to have his nappy off and wiped, but as soon as he has a free and clean bum, he jumps up and rushes off! I assume I can get pull ups in his size (4+ or 5), is there any reason why this isn't an option?

General take, anyone (especially SAHMs!) - how often do your OHs "abandon you for the day" on their days off, and go do their own thing? Is it a problem for you?

Well as a SAHD, although I work from home, I have a new partner, though from past relationships, i've tended not to go out too often without either partners or one/some of the kids, merely because i'm a family guy over anything.

If you do make changes, please remember to include your needs too. It has to be a joint decision where both partners get positives. If it's solely done for one partner at the potential upset of the other, regardless of that not being the intent, it could turn sour. Trust me, I made myself unhappy and it went Pete Tong - twice!

I think I would have a problem if Lucy abandoned me, merely as she has been welcomed into our family and our relationship is still young. Naturally, i'd expect occasionally she may want to go out, although her friends are trustworthy types, unlike my ex partners 'friends' and I am used to managing my girls on my own.

Best of luck with it all.

Have you tried tickling him to keep him awake Maz? Or a flannel? A better feed may make him go into a deeper sleep?

I also used to feed Benjamin on a feather pillow on my lap so when he fell asleep I could just slip him off me and escape (if I was lucky LOL!)

Mens lives don't have finer points, they just bumble on regardless and leave the women to run around like idiots (Bruno and MOTM excepted of course ;))

I'm idiotic in the other way. I think too much and put everyone else first and then feel guilty if I do something for myself. Even spending £1 on myself, I ask "Could that have been spent on something for the girls"

Talking of which, the 6 are back at school and the eldest is at work until 1.30. Lucy at work, My work is being done, but feels so empty here now :o Roll on 1.30 when at least 16yo is home to talk too :o

Yep tried all the tricks, stripping him etc I also feed with a pillow under William but he wakes up after 5 mins.....feeding is getting more to being nibbling than anything....he'll take a bottle of EBM might just start doing that as at least OH can give me break...

Maz, have you tried breast compressions?

    Topics of conversation -
Dinner tonight is whatever has the shortest shelf life of things that are delivered tonight. I order online every week.
OH are invited out as a couple, sometimes I go with him, sometimes not. Neither of us are abandoned though, we have joint friends.
Sleep, Toby usually naps from about 8:30pm till 10pm while we eat and watch a film. Bed at 10pm, up at 8:30am to 9:30am. No idea how many feeds because I sleep through them. I'd guess maybe 2-4 these days. He wakes up and fidgets sometimes, then rolls over and gets comfy without feeding now.

All my work stuff is finished for the day!!!!

I can now go home and do a couple of small bits there with my lovely baby and husband on hand for cuddles and messing about. And tomorrow's a holiday! I love Catholic Bavaria :)

Also, if I was at home all day and Husband swanned in from work only to booger off out again I would be sorely miffed. Occasionally would be fine, but more than once a week - especially if I wasn't getting free time because he was out playing - and he would be getting a Severe Talking To. We try to balance out baby time so we get roughly equal amounts of the fun bits and the grotty bits (although he changes far more nappies than I do because I do all the feeding).

We did a bottle of EBM a day from about 3 weeks old. It was the best thing I ever did - the amount of babies who won't take a bottle, both on here and IRL!!

It is not a rest for a while because of the expressing but if you can build up a bit of a store then at least you can relax.

Does he feed any better laying down?
