    hi all,

forgive me for not catching up very well, but have a poorly bubba asleep in my arms at the minute, but wanted to comment on bruo's post.

bruno - as you know, i am in a similar situation to you and your wife. i can understand the bout of depression and hopelessness as i had a recurrance of this not long back. i know i have said before how difficult i have found being a new mum and being away from my family.

however .. i know that my life at present is here in the UK with my husband and our little girl. it took everything i had to get on the plane to come back but my marriage is extremely important to me and for the time being, our life is here inthe UK, even though i find it difficult at times.

also, as you already know, do not underestimate the stress that the immigration process will put on you. i finally have full residency here in the UK, but it took many years, loads of money and now loads of grey hairs. it is one reason i am not jumping at the chance to go back home becuase i just cant handle all that stress again (as hubby and bubs will have to go through the process).

i appreciate your wife may find it hard to make friends and i did to, initiallhy only having friends through work and an ex girlfriend of hubby's mate, but i forced myself to make friends through baby clinic/group and now i have two really good mum friends and our girls were all born within a month.

sorry if i have rambled and not made a lot of sense.

I see Scruffy has a full iternary but I can meet you any time in Livingston. Just give me a shout when you're next coming through and we could have lunch :D

Ok. I was only joking about meeting tomorrow, and I am a little bit shy, but not that shy, so we should arrange to meet up one day. Once the weather shifts I will give you a shout. Tomorrow I am taking down the Christmas tree etc. DH is back to work so I need to get the house organised and back to normality.

Hello Glam - nice to have you back!
