I didn't puree it, it's just all finely chopped (aka stabbed at repeatedly with a sharp knife :p). It's all the bits from our tea - carrots, swede and peas were just boiled (has to be boiled for Rhys anyway, kidney stuff), parsnip was roast but I cut it open and scooped out the soft bit, potato was mashed (ate all the roasties!), chicken was butter basted breast (oh err!) finely chopped, all topped off with a sachet of baby gravy :)

Cheesy chicken pasta was just more chicken, sachet of cheesy sauce (freebie from C&G) and AK baby pasta shells :)

I have loads of left over puree in the freezer from when I went pureeing mad in week one of weaning but Leila prefers a bit of texture to her food so I have been doing the the finely chopped bit but for me that generally consists of whacking with back of spoon to squidge/soften a little then chopping a little off with side of spoon. She had scrambled eggs last night and loved them (I'm not sure if thats no no - I thought it might be but figured they were well cooked to solid state (ie not runny) so decided it was okay). Might give pasta a go next week.

She is so funny when she eats, she likes to sniff her food first. I wish I had it on video as she really gives it a good sniff! Funnily enough my little bro did that and still does (aged 17).

    I feel so yukky!

Went to a houseparty last night, went to bed at 6am, and other people got up at 9 and started making noise and cooking sausages, I FELT SOOOO ILL. I was also sleeping on a blow up bed and people kept standing on it and rocking motion was not good!

Feel sorry for OH cause I spent half the day cursing at him and telling him not to talk to me. I was liable to vomit! Plus I have my periods, me not happy happy!

Away to eat a chinese, fat pie I am!

i just cried my eyes out after a lady childminder responded to my email. she was only asking to meet up with her to have a chat and get to have a feel for her and the kids that she would be minding while she had mine.
i really dunno how im gonna do this....

    *huge hugs* carla! :(

I know I've not been there (and am very lucky not to need to think about it), but mooki, Em and MFD all went through exactly the same thing.. and look how happy they are with their childminders now :)

Is it just the thought of it? Do you know what you're looking for?

Egg is fine for her to have as long as it's cooked like you said. The only big thing they tell you to avoid is honey :D

Oh Carla, its like pulling off a plaster, you need to get it over and done with. ((((hugs))))

I patted myself on the back when I first sent out e-mails and made a list of potential CM's and then when they started to respond I found it so hard to take that step and actually arrange to see them. It somehow made it feel so real.

But just take that step and see one (and you will probably find a million things wrong with them and want to hate them because no-one else is good enough to look after your babies) but once you've been brave and done it, you will feel able to see others and eventually make a decision.

I found it was such a huge weight off my mind when I finally decided on the CM for Leila and I really got to enjoy my final few weeks of ML. Just be brave xxxxxxxxxx

    Evening all,

Had a nice meal at MILs and off to bed shortly but just been catching up.

Wizadora – Hope you feel better tomorrow after your fall and not done anything serious to your back. That sounds horrible. Glad Daniel is fine anyway, but must have been worrying for you. X

Sami – Have a good holiday.

SS – Have safe journey back home.

Scruffy – Are you enjoying yourself in Glasgow? Were you at George Square or somewhere for the bells? It’s a few years since I have been there – too old to be waiting around for taxis these days ha ha! Hope the shopping goes well tomorrow.

Carla – It must be really hard to leave them. To be honest, I never thought it would be until I had H, and now I can’t imagine leaving her with anyone else. I guess you just need to find the person whom you trust most and are most happy with even though you are not happy with the situation, and you will just get used to it in time. The kids will be fine, they will get used to it quickly I am sure. It’s the mums who go through the emotions of it! I am not looking forward to it at all.

ta elle. I never realised just how much effort n courage it took to even write an email about having them minded, never mind actually even going and leaving them!! :o
I know that the kids will love being with other children, itll be me thats a big gurn!

I think it is just the thought of it, plus the thought of having to go back to work. Although in the same sense, I want to go back to work, just not the job that im in, iykwim!?
and no to be honest, have no idea what im looking for? Im hardly going to see her attitude towards them when Katie is being a lil madam...what is is discipline like? oh dear, im blubbing again. lol
    Carla-Farla!! :)
