i was following it but found some of the posters quite OTT....

was today the first time you rang the governors?

Alot have been very helpful and shall continue helping via PM. Some want blood and all I want is 12yo's's best interests met.

I went to a meeting with head governor to see the school on Monday and governor told them off and we came to some agreements. I wouldn't take it any further if 12yo had a number of things guaranteed. They provisionally made an 'offer' that we had to go away and think about and answer after this Friday's governors meeting, but school have now messed it up and we're not happy.

Unbelievable. The teacher's desire to get back into the classroom supercedes a child's feelings of safety. The school has a duty of care to pupils that far outweighs the desires of someone who shouldn't be allowed back with his old class anyway - how's he going to teach with all the kids trying to goad him into doing it again?

It's boogery freezing here. I was halfway up to my knees in snow today, and out in the country yesterday I was lucky not to disappear altogether  Luckily we have the infrastructure to deal with it and so transport etc runs fine, but all floors everywhere are covered in black slush and whenever I take my boots off they leave a slush puddle and I hate it.

It baffles me and many others, but he's obviously popular with the hierarchy at the school. Anyone who justifies his, or the schools actions has no interest in child safety, no matter how much they try and justify their opinions.

 Still snowy? Is that all over the country? It's warmer here now. Not warm, but not that cold either.

The list as it stands is post 11951. I have updated it with anyone who has asked for it. If I miss anyone, PM me please. I will keep it updated for the moment and it can be posted on the new thread when we get one if that's what people decide to do, and anyone who wants to take it on can. If we decide we don't want a list, it can die out no problem.

I think I would still prefer a separate thread for bargains/questions though and this should be kept as a chat thread but that's just my opinion and as I don't post as much as others (normally!!) I don't think it's my decision.

Off to make dinner now. Pasta with Smoked Sausage & Garlic Bread hmmm.

I use a microwaveable wheat pillow sausage-thing. You can make a make shift one by putting rice in a cotton sock or pillowcase tied to create the same effect. Make sure the sock does not contain synthetics:eek:

BeenThereDoneThat - not everyone does it for attention at all - parasuicidal behaviour is a clinical name for when people self-harm specifically because they want to be offered help but for whatever reason can't or won't ask for it. It would be much easier to deal with self-harm if everyone who did it was looking for help - people who hide it are harder to spot and harder to reach. I hope I didn't offend you - it wasn't my intention.
No I wasn't offended at all - I just wanted to make the point that not everyone who is self harming and/or making unsuccessful suicide attempts is doing it for attention.
