I did after Jake, Jake was failed vontuse and fauceps (cant remember the order?) and then section under general so had app at 36wks with jasmine and they said they'd prefer to do arranged section.(which i was happy with) Which compared to the birth with Jake was lovely cos i got to see my baby all gooey!! I was gutted after I had Jake cos by the time I'd come round he was fed, changed washed and dressed! Did you have K at bolton? that sounds similar to what happened with jake his head was kind of wonky trying to come out, x
We were at Fairfield, Bolton next time as Fairfield is due to close. Yep, same thing head had not straightened up, so no amount of pushing from me was going to get him out! lol!! I think its cos i was induced that he didnt have time to get into the right position. Was ventouse, then forceps at which point my pethidine (wasnt this but similar) had worn off and i could only have gas and air!!! then it was emer c/s. Pretty hard going!!! and my waters had to be broken....feelinggood wrote: »Back from the group. Shan't be going again. It was nice and all, but I'm terribly judgemental and it was in too deprived an area. Too many dummies, bottles of juice, screaming, dirty and fake designer clothes, mums sneaking off for a fag etc. O felt a bit odd with my cuddly, shy babygrowed baby in a sling! Sorry if that all sounds terrible, I just felt very posh and out of place, despite being not very posh at all.
thats how i kinda felt yesterday. they had snacks for the kids and it was all choc donuts, pringels etc...may stick with the surestart ones as when they provide food its healthy etc.
and on to the group today...
it was brill. my friends daughter was there so that was a bonus (didnt realise she went there). no chavvy mums all babies. some at crawling stages.
from what i can gather they tend to have a talk most weeks on things to help. so this week was a follow on first aid (could have used that one) but i got lots from it especially as they were talking bout head injuries. next week is car safety. so we are definitely going back. they are organising swim meets as well over the next few weeks which should be good fun.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
oh MOTM don't you tell her about numbers - please! I'm trying to keep up with her as it is! :rotfl:Tigsteroonie wrote: »I learnt my numbers in a similar way - apparently I had to read every number on every gatepost or door as we went down the street!

Perfect response, thanks
I'm nervous/excited.
Will stay downstairs for half an hour, explain a bit more about Toby and let him get to know her. Then upstairs for a lie down and a read (or surf on iPhone). Have snuck chocolate upstairs in advance.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
we walked to a friends house today which is about 5mins away. LO wore her reins and we walked holding hands - it took us almost 20 minutes as every lampost and bush was very interesting
:T Aw bless - how cute!
V has only just started pushing the walker/trolley thingy, but can cruise the furniture and does the stairs amazingly quickly!
I know you shouldn't compare, but Joe was 18 months before he walked and Liv 9 months - hopefully V will be somewhere in between.
Have you got plans for her birthday? Not long now. I bet she'll have the most fabulous cake!feelinggood wrote: »Nanny will be here in half an hour.
Have you got plans for her/for you while she's there?
ETA: I like your plans. A good chill-out session - perfect.:beer:0 -
