Yesterday was our first Gymbabes, in future we are going to go on a wednesday morning.

Toby got a bit tired/hungry at the end, so I had to make a quick dash off to feed him. I think next time I'll take a cereal bar for him to eat immediately before we start. I'm a bit shy of feeding him in public now he is so enormous!

I let him explore for himself, and for about 10 minutes in the middle he just sat and played with a train toy - does Rose have a chance to do a bit of sitting quietly while there?

Forgive me for forgetting, but how old is she? How mobile is she? Toby was one of the oldest there at 9 months, but I'm glad I waited till he was crawling and could decide what he wanted to do himself.

I did give her a snack before we left so she wasnt too hungry as it falls right on her lunch time. She cannot crawl or even roll much yet. She can sit unaided for long periods, maybe an hour or so but obviously this doesnt help her get about. Maybe i should have waited.

She's now 8 months and she was the youngest there x

Bruno, sorry to hear your day isnt going to plan x

And we like you too MOTM :p

Big hugs to everyone, I've nothing really to add on the different threads idea (except that a name/child's name/child's age post would be helpful) because all I really want to say is that you're all very lovely and thank you for listening to me. I've been feeling like a$$ since the euphoria at finally having a baby wore off and I realised how badly I'd felt and been treated, but I already feel a little more human for having been taken seriously.

MOTM if you don't want to take it further don't listen to the people on the other thread baying for the teacher's head on a plate. FWIW, I think the LEA should be informed - but by the school; it's not your decision to make.

    Don't worry, i'm the strangest :p

Would be good, as long as we don't have to give full details. I have mentioned my girls names before, but not put ages-names

Good. I see no reason why anyone here wouldn't take you seriously, so you are in good company

We will do what's best for 12yo, don't worry. As per your being taken seriously comments, it's the same for us. If the school had not tried to blame us, even after it was proven they were in the wrong, it would all be okay now.

MM, I love your avvy. So cute.

Feelie, Was your gymbabes yesterday or was that the one today? Rose has been twice now and considering she hardly ever cries, she has both times we've been. I think she gets too tired. Not sure whether to persevere or to try again in a little while with her x

Our trial is tomorrow at 12.20 - would you both suggest early lunch before we go?

I thought we might be a bit old for it as she'll be one a week Sunday. Did I read that Gymbabes is for until they're confident walkers?, then you move up to Tumbletots? She's a long way off being a confident walker anyway. :o

Csh – yes I have jumped on the bandwagon! I was considering it before, and by coincidence tried to catch up late one night when everyone had been ordering them. I hope it comes before Monday or H might steal K’s!

I think yours are different cause you say things like DD12 and DD16 so we know. I know exactly how old Molly is but because I don't call her Molly25weeks (plus one day) I don't expect everyone else to remember.

    Edit: very cute csh :)

Stuff's just hard sometimes, isn't it? And yet we're all still trying to do our best. Does that make us all supermummies and superdaddies? I wonder.

SS - yes, I agree things can be hard. I had a bad birth experience too and it's not left me at all yet and LO is now almost a year old. The thing to remember was that it wasn't your fault - although I know that doesn't help lots. If you have a HV or GP could you talk to them about it (you aren't in the UK are you?)? Otherwise if you fancy a chat then do PM me. You aren't on your own x

Well, I suppose you'd be changing Molly's age every week, so it could get confusing.

3 - LO is now a 'confident' walker and she's still got a couple of weeks left in gymbabes. at the end of this next group of sessions we are moving up a class, where she'll be back to being bottom of the class!

we walked to a friends house today which is about 5mins away. LO wore her reins and we walked holding hands - it took us almost 20 minutes as every lampost and bush was very interesting ;)

Definitely eat before going, Toby isn't a bit eater but it made him hungry.

There was one girl who'd just started walking, no mention of how confident they need to be. Even if you only go for a little while before going to Tumble Tots, it'd still be a good, gentle introduction to it.

Angela - I am paying per lesson until after the half term, can you do this to try a few more sessions?

Nanny will be here in half an hour.

Wait until the realisation that every lamppost has a number on it and watch the brain go in overtime ;)
