MOTM - I've been following your other thread about your 12yo. I didn't comment as I've no experience of secondary school, apart from me going obviously <insert rolling eyes smiley> but I think that what you're doing the right thing. If your daughter doesn't want the police involved, etc and you both feel that the school has (eventually!) done what you want and your daughter is happy, then what's the point in making her upset by involving the police, etc.

Haven't seen Mookie on here for a while. Hope she is OK.

Thanks for reading it. Yes, we don't want to take it any further, but school keep making mistakes and it's frustrating. A case of take each day I think.

Mookie posted on that thread and wrote a great letter on our behalf, which was gratefully received and used.

MOTM Hope ur DD is ok now and things are getting back to normal.

    Getting there, thanks.

Sugar, I had an EMCS with Millie and I felt much the same way you do, to be honest I didn’t fully exorcise those demons until I had a much better experience with El. (there’s a great excuse to TTC!)

Angela, I actually read weezl’s post and thought ‘And Rose’ but I didn’t post that and I apologise, I should have.

I’m sure a lot of us do the same thing, (the Weezl smiling and nodding) and don’t post, I’m only putting a couple of thoughts down now cos I’m going to tunetots in 5 mins so I’m not going to respond to anything after about half ten, will catch up on that later (and probably not comment)

The daily thread idea, I know a lot of us catch up in the morning, (I do whilst I’m waiting for millie to eat her hoops) and I wonder if it would leave some of us feeling like we are a day behind all the time, and maybe we would not then comment on things the day before and maybe there would be more missing out? (initial thoughts only)

The idea of a catch up post in the OP, puts a lot of pressure on the OP not to miss anyone out and that could end up being a bit of an essay (much like this post)

Sorry, had to feed and change Holly. She is now staring intently at the weird opera guy on Loose Women! Scary.

Thank you all for the highchair recommendations. I suppose I am looking for one that is easy to clean, doesn’t take up too much room when folded and has a removable tray. I am not sure how important an reclining chair is and adjustable footrest. Money is not an issue, but obviously the cheaper the better – I would prefer not to pay a massive amount but don’t mind paying a bit extra for comfort.

Csh – yes I have jumped on the bandwagon! I was considering it before, and by coincidence tried to catch up late one night when everyone had been ordering them. I hope it comes before Monday or H might steal K’s!

RMac – well done on getting in the e-mail. I shall go and check it out when I get a minute. Are you still up for a Scottish meet by the way? Scruffy said she would try to organise it. Or are you too busy with your new venture?

Has SB been around lately? And Carla? I don’t like to think anyone has been forgotten about.

MM, I love your avvy. So cute.

Feelie, Was your gymbabes yesterday or was that the one today? Rose has been twice now and considering she hardly ever cries, she has both times we've been. I think she gets too tired. Not sure whether to persevere or to try again in a little while with her x

    Afternoon all.. just a quickie!

The 8mth development check was a bit of a non-event! No specific questions on "Can he do...?", it was more "What can he do?". I don't think that was just because it was Rhys either, because I heard another one going on (big open room) while I was getting Rhys dressed again and it was the same but I don't think there was any mention of prem there *confused* Sooo... I assume he passed?! Dunno.. :o

Anyway, good news, he's gained 8oz and is now at the dizzy heights of 12lb 2oz :D

We looked around the centre and saw the sensory room. Will try to book it when we have a spare afternoon.. Claire, do you want to bring Reece and Charlie too? :)

I'm off to training now then to look for paint for Rhys' room (the blue colour). Rhys is at Grandma's until 7-8pm :)

    :grouphug:'s for all xx

PS I think Carla's laptop is poorly sick; she's still on FB using her iPhone :)

[thanks]Thanks to everyone - I feel much better for being listened to. You're all lovely lovely people and I'm all tearful thinking about how lovely you are [/thanks]

Fitzio - We have a tripp trapp by stokke and both LO and us love it! Highly recommended from us :D

JEALOUS! We have a Faux Trapp, which I can't help thinking is just a bit inferior...
...some people who I thought were a bit strange ...

And we like you too MOTM :p

Big hugs to everyone, I've nothing really to add on the different threads idea (except that a name/child's name/child's age post would be helpful) because all I really want to say is that you're all very lovely and thank you for listening to me. I've been feeling like a$$ since the euphoria at finally having a baby wore off and I realised how badly I'd felt and been treated, but I already feel a little more human for having been taken seriously.

Millie's Mum, I'd hoped to conceive quickly a second time, but exclusive BF seems to actually be a contraceptive in my case so we'll just have to see how it goes and keep trying :o

MOTM if you don't want to take it further don't listen to the people on the other thread baying for the teacher's head on a plate. FWIW, I think the LEA should be informed - but by the school; it's not your decision to make.

Sorry you're still feeling bad Bruno, but very nice of you to take the toddler to work (I know his name's Elijah, but I liked the alliteration ;)).

Feelie, I'd be the same way about mummy groups - I don't allow people who smell of smoke near Molly, but it would be hard with other mummies and babies who belong to those mummies...

Beenie, I'm sorry your HV is so rubbish :(

Jillie, I'm also angry for you at your SIL for her timing, although I can't imagine how she must have been feeling. And your DH too - there's no excuse for not being there for you when you needed him, but it must be hard for him as well.

Stuff's just hard sometimes, isn't it? And yet we're all still trying to do our best. Does that make us all supermummies and superdaddies? I wonder.

Thank you Sparkle - I didn't realise you'd had a difficult time as well. I do blame myself, and whenever I do something wrong I feel like a very rubbish mummy because I couldn't even get that small thing right and then the way she was born is always lurking. I forgot to put her double-thickness night time nappy on last night and this morning she woke up in a wet patch and I feel horrible about it. She's fine, happily chatting to her toys, but I'm a mess.

SS I know its already been covered - but I think speaking to a midwife might help you. (Speaking to us has hopefully helped a little!).

Don't worry about little things like wet patches - i'm sure she won't remember and use it against you when she's a big girl. :D

You're obviously not a rubbish mummy - or you wouldn't be worrying about everything. Pregnancy and birth is a strange time when you've totally out of control of the situation. I've had one horrible labour and emergency c/s, one average labour and normal birth and finally one of the easiest & quickest births possible. :) In all three of them I felt helpless and useless. On the lovely third one I still told OH & the midwife that I wanted to get off the bed and go home because it hurt and I couldnt' do it. :o

    I've had a very productive morning. :D
I've been to collect my purse I left in the courtesy dodgem yesterday, dropped DD2 off with MIL, went to kwik-fit for my other two tyres, filled the car up with deisel , jetwashed the car, hoovered the car, went to doctors and am now finally home to catch up and then clean up.

I noticed SB was awol yesterday - hope you're ok if you're lurking.

And Krystal weren't you talking about peeing on a stick towards the end of last week?

Hugs & hellos to everyone else. xx

Yesterday was our first Gymbabes, in future we are going to go on a wednesday morning.

Toby got a bit tired/hungry at the end, so I had to make a quick dash off to feed him. I think next time I'll take a cereal bar for him to eat immediately before we start. I'm a bit shy of feeding him in public now he is so enormous!

I let him explore for himself, and for about 10 minutes in the middle he just sat and played with a train toy - does Rose have a chance to do a bit of sitting quietly while there?

Forgive me for forgetting, but how old is she? How mobile is she? Toby was one of the oldest there at 9 months, but I'm glad I waited till he was crawling and could decide what he wanted to do himself.
