Re the list ... Rather than giving ages (under one) which could need constant updating as we each PM to say "Andrew's (Jack, Finn etc) is now 4 months, can you please change it?" Why don't we say roughly when they were born, e.g.

Tigs - mum to Andrew, b. Aug 2009 (prem) - SAHM&D just now

Hugs Jillie. Suicide is a difficult issue. It affects so many people, and can seem really selfish, but I think that when someone is at that stage in their life, they can't think rationally. Post on here if it will help. I am glad you enjoyed your group.
Just as well you mentioned Baby Clinic! Mine is this afternoon - totally forgot about it as my day hasn't gone to plan. Will get H ready and go if she wakes up. If not, I won't bother.

Aless - I would probably go to the group as if Finn is tired, I would imagine he will sleep at some point. But if you don't think he will and he needs this nap, then put his needs first. If it's just a meet up type group rather than a class, you could go late if he does wake up. I missed our class this morning as Holly was messing about with her bottle rather than drinking it, and it made us too late to go, but I would rather she was happy, even though I was looking forward to it and the class is paid for.

Tigs - I agree, that's why I put the month/year Holly was born in my example. But I think everyone should put whatever they want and update it whenever they want (e.g. update Andrew's weight or something). It could be a good introduction for anyone who joins the thread too. But it couldn't be too detailed either or it would go on forever!

Right, I am off to do some work. I have chatted far too much today. Catch you all at some point. x

And Krystal weren't you talking about peeing on a stick towards the end of last week?
I was, and I did... Didn't get SS's bfp... And rather typically came on this morning... Which is a bit of a relief after Monday night... :o
I learnt my numbers in a similar way - apparently I had to read every number on every gatepost or door as we went down the street!
Aimee's 5 and she still calls out the numbers as we walk to school or the Drs...

I remember the days when every single speck on the pavement was interesting... Used to be infuriating lol.. I imagine we'll have to leave a bit earlier on the school run when it's Caitlyn's turn...

typical...Finn hasn't napped properly for 3 days (and didn't sleep much last night either). And when does he finally conk out? 20 minutes before we need to get ready to go a local mummies meet-up. I'm so torn whether to leave him (he could be out for 10 minutes or 4 hrs, there's no way of knowing) and skip it (but am quite desperate to meet local mums) or go to the meet knowing he will of course wake up b/c he needs a change, put on coat, etc. but might fall back asleep in pram?

help! what would you do? :o:o
I would go... I'd get everything read and put my coat and shoes on and leave him in the basket until right at the last minute just in case... But ultimately... I'd disturb him to go out.. (I'm probably too late with my opinion now anyway lol)

Can someone please tell Caitlyn she can't crawl under the Poang... There's a bar across the front right at her head height and she keeps getting really frustrated crawling into it...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Please do Jillie - if it helps then do what you need to and we'll listen. That's what friends do :)

Regarding high chairs... I have the £39 mothercare one that someone gave me... It's awful, Caitnlyn slips down in it and the static tray is too far away so she can't reach the food and what she does reach gets dropped in her lap... It's also not great for cleaning, many nooks and crannies in the plastic...

I also have a plastic booster high chair that fits on a dining chair... I don't like it because the tray seems really low on Caitlyn's lap so she looks a little squished into it... And the mechanism that moves the tray is awkward and Dave can't do it...

I'm getting my dream chair next week :Dhttp://www.1stbabyshop.co.uk/catalogue/highchairs-and-booster-seats/2903.php

I shall take Caitlyn into the shop first and try it out just in case though ;)

Totally understandable Jillie - suicide is always horrific but worse somehow when there are children involved.

I'm upstairs and can hear laughing downstairs! Try not to atrain and listen too much!

Jillie, I wish I could offer advice or experience from the other side (I had a suicide attempt not too long before) I got pregnant but I worry about offending or upsetting.
