OH moans that as I tidy downstairs, I put everyones stuff on the stairs for them to take up as they pass. He thinks i'm leaving stuff on the stairs to deliberatly kill him :o - it doesn't even cross his mind to pick something up and take it upstairs as he's passing!

DS is in a vile mood today. He loves his routine and can cope with a little change, like a few days of school - but I think he's had too long off now so he's slamming/throwing things about.
Also, V got a ton of toys with flashing lights/buttons/noise - which overload his senses! So he'll play with them for a little while - then get overexcited and throw them.
We've had to hide the big wooden shape sorter in the shed - he's always had issues with shape sorters!

Happens here too, though the kids think that they can do this too, which si really not on!

Does he need a quiet day? Whats wrong with shape sorters, do they freak him out? You feel sorry for them when they get like that, much as they must get on your nerves too. Kids with no problems get the same way.

DH is muchly happy, a new xbox arrived so he is now playing the game I got him. BUT, he has brought down all the washing and sorted it into two piles, dirty and to be ironed, as well as put the TD and the WM on while I slept.

I had to check back to see if I made a post or if I dreamed it, the post would have been
OMG! Did anyone see Eastenders? Bianca was taken away in the TARDIS, that means she will be on Who New Years Day! How cool, the Doctor and Bianca, he's in for it now!

I also woke up after I heard a huge bang from a party popper and shouted DH if he knew what it was, then I finally woke up properly jumping/falling off the sofa because he dropped a lit cigerette down my back. Course I just dreamt it all, I've got a bit of a fever from the ear infection. It's a drum infection, not swimmers ear like I usually get so been given oral antibiotics and a spray to soothe it as I need it.
So I think the ironing can wait, most of it is probaby stuff I can just charity shop. Cant be bothered ebaying stuff, so if anyone would like some girls dresses in 3-6months gimme a PM and I will sort out what I have.

I think his ears might need a rest! Liv is going to play at her friends in a little while so that'll help. :p

He is affected a lot by sensory overload. So too much lights/noise/movement freak him out. But that doesn't explain the shape sorter problem.

I'm not sure what it is. He's also always had a problem with these tubs of duplo. :confused:51jOsmg7iRL._SL500_AA280_.jpg&size=18&dhm=9f91d69e&hl=en

When he was little, and we went to visit any friends with children or groups, we had to get in and hide shape sorters and duplo before he could grab and throw them!

I thought he might have grown out of it until V got a couple of shape sorters for christmas. :o

DS2 is scared of jelly, but more in a freak out and try hiding behind the table/dad/tv way rather than throwing it.

He's autistic right? Will a little bit of calm and quiet help him then?

    Jelly? Bizarre.

Yes he's autistic and much as he loves Liv, she does bl00dy talk an awful lot! She's gone now and the house is instantly calmer. :rotfl:

In school when he's upset, they have the wonderful calming light room with soft music, fibre optics and soft floor! I need one here.

He's up in his room now enjoying the silence. :D

V is in her highchair eating an apple. The last couple of days she keeps offering anyone near some of her food. Its so cute, but I really don't want a bit of snot covered apple! _pale_

3, what about a tent then? One of those kiddy ones, a duvet and some soft battery operated lights inside. Or would it just get wrecked?

Maz, if your keeping it in teh fridge, then yes, give it a dunk in some hot water. And remember that it separates so you get a layer of fatty milk on top and a wattery layer on the bottom so needs a good shake before using :D

Sami Are you about? You're a Costco regular aren't you? Do you get your nappies from there? We went yesterday and think we figured out the Pampers worked out quite a bit cheaper than the asda 2 for £18 offer. Have we worked it out right?

I drove OH insane walking around - he kept picking stuff up and saying bargain, then I told him its cheaper in Asda/Poundstretcher/H&B etc etc. Apart from my bargain heinz beans and Jack Daniels, I think the food/cleaning stuff can be found cheaper shopping around. What do you think?
    I'm about-ish (I keep nodding off)
I've not got my nappies from there but last time I was in I checked the huggies becuse I've recently changed to them and IIRC they were cheaper in costco.
with branded stuff it's hit n miss on cheapness have you looked at the great costco/,makro hunt thread?
