Cos I woke up in AGONY and lying down make my ear worse. Wasn't through choice, although I will get up early when the kids are away (between 8-9am) so that I can enjoy sitting with a coffee and watching tv in peace and quietcarlamagee wrote: »Tia - your list of things to do tody made me feel tired!! Good luck with it!!
haha, :rotfl:@ the "Gun from hell" - Robbies sister gave us a teething keyring which sings and after many times in the bath and approx 2 years on he blimmin thing is still going!!!! lol
What list?I have lots of washing, ironing, folding, putting away, sniffing (cos I hve forgotten what pile is what) and binning of clothes
I have however been to GP, collected prescription, stopped by the shop and got some rolls, put fuel in the car and put make up on.money_maker wrote: »
Does anyone else ever feel like no matter what they do, there is always washing and ironing to doIts never ending and I am starting to get really down about it, cuz its all I seem to be doing at the minute, esp with Dylans reflux playing up again !
Oh well, must go do some more !
Oh yes, I have a pile on the stairs (it has a turning like a mini landing), a pile on top of the dog cage in the kitchen and a pile under Ambers crib all to be washed, a basket of stuff to be ironed, a box of socks to be paired, a pile of new stuff to be put away and then I need to bin/charity shop the kids older stuff to make space for the new stuff.
And nothing works to keep it down. I try to fold it as it comes out the TD, but DH just dumps it all on the bed and does 10 washes in the one day meaning it all just sits there getting creased and dirty again.
You think if you bin everything it will help, but then you just run out of stuff. Kinda want to take it all to a laundrette who will wash, iron and fold it all for me.but it would still sit in piles when it came back....

OH moans that as I tidy downstairs, I put everyones stuff on the stairs for them to take up as they pass. He thinks i'm leaving stuff on the stairs to deliberatly kill him- it doesn't even cross his mind to pick something up and take it upstairs as he's passing!
DS is in a vile mood today. He loves his routine and can cope with a little change, like a few days of school - but I think he's had too long off now so he's slamming/throwing things about.
Also, V got a ton of toys with flashing lights/buttons/noise - which overload his senses! So he'll play with them for a little while - then get overexcited and throw them.
We've had to hide the big wooden shape sorter in the shed - he's always had issues with shape sorters!:beer:0 -
:T:T thanks all for the Moses basket advice - will definitely try it next time around. Currently he's out like a light in it but this is only the 2nd time he's gone for more than 20 minutes!
GISI, yeah I can't wait to get a sling for that reason. I think it's that initial fear but once we do it, the confidence will grow!
speaking of laundry, just ordered one of those spiffy heated airers from Lakeland as I plan on doing cloth nappies (v ambitious, I know!) and we haven't the space/money/whatever for a tumble dryer. Just put loads of laundry away so I actually feel on top of things. Today's project is putting stuff away & tidying up. Note to all: bad thing of having a baby on Christmas day is all the rubbish/pressies/mess from Christmas morning is still lying around the house when you get home! :rotfl:
carla, wish I could be of help on the tax credits thing, but they confuse the hell outta me myself - sounds like others have given you top-notch advice. Don't worry, I'll be asking the exact same questions very shortly! This is one area where MIL can be helpful, as since I'm American the system isn't something I grew up with...

Sami Are you about? You're a Costco regular aren't you? Do you get your nappies from there? We went yesterday and think we figured out the Pampers worked out quite a bit cheaper than the asda 2 for £18 offer. Have we worked it out right?
I drove OH insane walking around - he kept picking stuff up and saying bargain, then I told him its cheaper in Asda/Poundstretcher/H&B etc etc. Apart from my bargain heinz beans and Jack Daniels, I think the food/cleaning stuff can be found cheaper shopping around. What do you think?:beer:0 -
Long shot from my very tired brain - does someone work in a bed shop?
Hurrah and  for standing babies in cots, big hugs for sick people and I have to go again because there is noise from downstairs and I must investigate it.
Molly is currently snoozing away, almost all our shipping stuff is packed, and the next things are the suitcases, packing for our lovely weekend away, putting the stuff for next Christmas in the loft, updating my list, post office (my fairies apologise for the delay in fairy post but hope to rectify this afternoon), returning hasty purchases to New Look and the very last duty visit.
Big hugs all round xxx

Hope you get out tonight... I don't believe the weather folk, I don't recon we'll get much snow today...I know the feeling! I get a little excited feeling when the ironing is finished and the washing basket empty.........then about two hours later there will be more to do.
Hopefully its not to bad today - DD is being a slob this week and has refused to get out of her pj's since Christmas night! She may be getting a bit smelly, but it it saves me washing its good! :rotfl:

Krystal, it's not only fairy post
I have a blue Ikea bag full of stuff I should have sent a week ago and CBA to package.
Incidentally, packaging is very much a MSE recycled effort - hope it stays together- and I added my tamagotchi fish for Aimee on the offchance she'll like it.

How random, have just had a email from BB apologising for not sending me a review form and saying they will send one out by the end of the week - they sent the cup in early October and I've been asking for the form since the middle of November, I sent them a email earlier this month which got ignored and I'd resigned myself to not hearing from them again! Any tips on how to say "xxx is totally crap, you should save your money!!" without being too offensive?!Mummy to
